I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

* Full suspension: Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp - great condition. The guy said it's from 2007. He kept it well maintained and comes with a bleed kit.

It sounds like the type of riding you'll be doing puts you in the full suspension category. The stumpjumper has always been a great platform.

Can't Decide Against Hardtail vs Full-Sus...

 I will say however my santa cruz had it all over the evil on paint finish, and frame finishing.

I am trying to decide between some bikes with a lifetime frame warranty. I've found an Evil Offering GX build, and a Santa Cruz Bronson C S MX build. Would love a hightower, but can't find one right now. I've heard that the offering is super playful, but seems like most people agree SC's customer service is hard to beat. Just looking to get some opinions from people that have owned some of these.

 The rockshox recon fork, the x-fusion rear shock, and the SX drivetrain will be limiting factors on that bike. Or, if you like the Stumpjumper, kick in another 600 and get the Stumpjumper Comp alloy for 3600.

I'm 280lbs closer to 300 with kit ect, I hired a trek fuel ex 5 the weekend just gone, I rode at coed y brenin MTB trails, started off on blue trail and then moved to a red, the reds had alot of rock gardens, steep rooty descents and alot of drops some over 18" tall, and a fair few jumps, the bike held up beautifully and put my mind at ease and allowed me to enjoy the trail. The guys at the rental set up the bike for my weight, I didn't feel the suspension bottom out, altho I did get a few pedal strikes but nothing that would slow me down or get me to doubt being on the bike.

Everyday I look at my bike thinking today will be the day I go out n ride . I'm over 300lb and my fear is breaking rims or pedals . Also don't want any injuries .anyone out their have any experience with cycling obese ? (Have a trek mountain bike by the way)

Fear holding me down

I started on a Trek Fuel ex.  It was a great first full-suspension bike for about 1,300 used.  Upgraded after a year to a Santa Cruz 5010.  Check out the Fuel EX

New mountain bike

I bought a fuel ex 5 as my first full suspension bike for $2100. I ended up putting close to what I paid into it as I ended up buying a lyrik ultimate, Saint brakes, a oneup dropper, double down tires, and upgrades to the drivetrain. The stock build was good for when I first started riding, but the original dropper broke and I needed to replace it and I quickly found out that brakes and the Bontrager tires weren’t great.

I am curious about what other peoples’ cutoffs are for what they consider to be the lowest they would spend on a full suspension bike in order for them to feel like it was worth the money. I know you can spend $1 on Craigslist if you hit the jackpot, but I’m talking about for a regular situation would you consider a $1,000 full squish a decent bike or is your cutoff $3,000. 

Mine is about $2k where you are starting to get pretty reliable components and decent geometry. What’s yours?
