It sounds like the type of riding you'll be doing puts you in the full suspension category. The stumpjumper has always been a great platform.

I am liking the look of two bikes, the Marin San Quentin 3 and the Specialized Stumpjumper Alloy. But I am not sure which one to go for, as both bikes are great.

Can't Decide Against Hardtail vs Full-Sus...

 I will say however my santa cruz had it all over the evil on paint finish, and frame finishing.

I am trying to decide between some bikes with a lifetime frame warranty. I've found an Evil Offering GX build, and a Santa Cruz Bronson C S MX build. Would love a hightower, but can't find one right now. I've heard that the offering is super playful, but seems like most people agree SC's customer service is hard to beat. Just looking to get some opinions from people that have owned some of these.

 This is the kind of bike that can like teach you something no matter who you are. If you're a Hammerhead X eraser, it'll turn you on to the shred life. If you're a shuttle bum, it'll show you that little lactic acid might do you some good. We've got the full review and the rest of the beta test videos at Betamtb

 How they did that, How they managed to keep that feeling on the descents, but have this ultra efficient climber? I'm I haven't quite wrapped my head around how they accomplish that. It has a long wheelbase that probably plays into it somewhat, and a slack head angle for the category 66 degrees. And it's got the short offset fork, so it's got that Spg geometry that they have throughout their line. It's it's just a really well put together package

 Yeah, yeah, I never felt myself looking to to flip the switch on the rear shock to lock it out. It's just super efficient. that lockout is so firm you probably wouldn't Yeah, it's on. but it climbs so well with it open
