Sonos Roam vs Sony SRS-XB23

I do enjoy taking it in and out of house and having my music all playing at once but the sound is weak. If you do not own any Sonos products and just want a portable Bluetooth speaker I would def pass on this item.

Having done this, it seemed as though having both phones connected by blutooth conflicted with the connection anywhere in the house. Though we were playing music from the iPhone, it seemed that my Android connection made the Sony device jump from the phone playing music to my phone which was not. The music would cut out until I went into my Android phone and turned the BluTooth connection off, so you have to do this manually eny time you want to use it. Perhaps that's typical of these devices

This does require the use of the Sonos app. While the app is pretty streamlined for the most part, I feel that they can definitely make it better. To use it, you must have a Sonos account. After setting that up, you can add the Roam as a device and set it up to hook up to your wifi network

I've narrowed it down to 3 similarly priced (\~$100-130) options: SoundLink Color II, JBL Charge 3, or Sony SRS-XB33. Which would you recommend?

It can handle picnic duty for a small group at the park or come for a ride-along on your bike. And yes, it shines in the shower. Good Sound, compact design, integrates well with SONOS platform. Battery seems to drain faster than I would have thought, but still acceptable. One draw back to this bundle package is they don't include a secondary block and charger, which would have been nice as price point is north of $200 and the base is a little clunky to grab and go. Nonetheless, the cord is a generic type which doesn't cost much

Some portable speakers can look a little garish, but the Sonos Roam retains the company's understated design aesthetic.
