SOG Ace vs SOG Field Knife

A decent sheath (still going to make my own kydex). A little small for my hand but very lightweight. Wonder how far the tang extends. Wish it was usa made , option for serttions, and out of a carbon steel not a stainless

I love the sheath. The retention is perfect. The knife stays firmly in place and it's quick and easy to deploy. Doesn't feel stuck like some Schrades do with similar sheaths

The blade is sturdy and sharp. I tested it by hacking small bamboo branches off the main pole..

Now the knife. I bought this for self defense, if ever needed it'll do the job intended. It doesn't come very sharp and in my opinion doesn't sharpen very well. Handle feels nice in the hand for intended purpose

A fair price but a rather low quality product. The handle felt like cheap plastic and the sheath had a curious friction based release with poor attachment “clip” that offered an insecure fit.

always a plus. The handle is the most comfortable design ive ever held, even though it could be longer by a half an inch. (I have large hands) The rubberized handle is very grippy, and a joy to work with. At 30 bucks its a true bargain ! SOG ! if youre listening, please take this exact design and enlarge it to a 5 and a half or 6 inch blade, with the handle expanded to 5 or 5 and a half inches

I never have been infatuated with SOG products; I always thought their knives were usually overpriced for what they were. The Ace fixes that issue right off the bat - at $15 it's about half the price of similar SOG knives I've seen. First impressions are good. It's a light blade for its size, and its design is a simple, no-nonsense one that I find very appealing

The blade is dull so get yourself a good sharpening stone to hone the blade. For the price, it's a good knife but the sheath is still very important.

knife and sheath is good quality, I like knife stone washed finish very much, sharp edge, sharp and strong point for its thikness, good jimping, good large handle, excelent size handle for me, i have medium size hands and for me it is best size, sheath clip is good, medium strongness+you can remove it if don't want, sheath holds knife very good but i would't carry it uppside down, BEWARE with wet hands or wet handle it slips very much, kraton handle would be better but with kraton it would be much more expensive, for the price it is very good knife.

My first moment of opening this its sturdy so far. This item got delivered before the recommended Delivery Date.

Sorry, I'm just being truthful. I give the design and durability only 2 stars due to the sheath.

Had this Knife almost (1) year. Have not used it for any outdoor/ bush/ camping activities yet so can't rate on that. Just been sitting in my Diving Backpack and considering to use it in my Diving activities but don't know if the steel will hold up (won't rust). At 1st glance, the knife feels like it's a Young Boy's knife (still feel that way)
