Smith Maze MIPS vs Smith Optics Mirage MIPS

Love my Smith Maze Mips. Reasonably priced, looks nice, comfy, fairly light, warm without being hot, has zipper pocket for bluetooth headphones.

This helmet doesn't make my head looks huge and crazy！and of course it is very comfortable, but it has the MIPS sign outside really obvious, and it's shining yellow, I thought it is a sticker when I bought it, but it's not, you can't take it off. I think it is quite stupid when you put that outside, I think MIPS is very important to protect your head but I don't think it is really important to show off. Anyway , I think This is the most comfortable helmet I bought. So I keep it

I have a kind of a small head. This is a medium helmet, which is like 55 to 59 centimeters. And it fits me just fine, even with a little skinny beanie...

Would recommend the brand and fit to anyone. I bought a medium as the smalls were just a smidge snug in the store.

For context, my local ski shop is doing an end-of-summer blowout sale on a buttload of gear, I could either get the Smith Maze for $90 or the Smith Scout for $50. He had other helmets as well, but most of them were either too big (I wear a small) or were at higher price points that were still a bit absurd to me even with the sale going on. I also like that these two are also extremely lightweight, quite comfortable, and low profile (the lip of the scout reminds me a little of some sandbox helmets). Both have MIPS

I cannot believe how light weight this new style is! Plus it has the newer MIPS technology which is supposed to help with rotational type concussion forces. I definately recommend this helmet for skiing or snowboarding!
