SIG SAUER MCX Upper Unboxing and Build with Navy SEAL Mark "Coch" Cochiolo

 Hey, it's Coach with Tactical Hive. As you can see, I am not on the range today,

 but I am getting ready. We did a video a while back about the the new XM5 and got me thinking

 about, you know, the SIG Spear or their MCX setup. So I went online and I found myself

 on the SIG website. SIG MCX Vertis upper assembly kit, which goes on your provided lower receiver.

 But the whole kit to put it together, you know, it's supposed to come in the box. So let's see

 what we got here. So this showed up, oh, a couple days ago. And we thought, I'll just get on it,

 build this thing, and we'll take it out to the range, put a couple of accessories on that

 I tend to like to use. And we'll go from there. But let's see what's in the box here. I've got

 a couple of the things that we're gonna attach, but what comes in the box? Hey, look at this.

 I've got a bitchin' little upper. So that's because of the way the the MCX is built.

 All the recoil stuff is up here. There's no tube, okay, that you have a buffer tube. So we can have

 a folding stock if that, you know, floats your boat. All right, so that's what comes in. We got

 that. We got a bag with a cool two-stage SIG match duo trigger. And then this is looks like the kit to

 to adapt it to the the lower, okay. You got your instruction book and a pamphlet and

 and you even got a sticker if you're into that. Okay, and a match trigger instructions as well.

 All right, so let's get this out and see what we got. We're gonna, we'll set the upper aside

 for now because it's pretty much complete from what I can see. I'm just gonna need to put

 some sights, probably a vertical on there. But the upper itself is pretty much complete at this

 point. The big thing here is gonna be putting the the adapter on. Well, before we get started,

 it's a little dark in here, isn't it? There, that's better. Okay, so now we have the the

 different assemblies that came with it. There's the upper and there's the adapter that goes on

 the back end of the lower receiver. And this is the folding stock adapter. Awesome. And SIG includes

 this bitch and match trigger. So we'll go with that. So that's pretty much everything that came

 in the box. And then here's everything that didn't come in the box. So if you're gonna buy one of

 these, you're gonna need your own lower, obviously, some sort of buttstock assembly. Now this is just

 the one off of my standard AR. And then your add-ons. Again, this is M-LOK. So if you're gonna,

 like the light I'm gonna use here, this InForce, it's set up for a rail. So I'm gonna have to put

 a little piece of rail on there. We'll figure out where we want to put it. And then I got a little

 Daniel Defense fixed front sight. Rear sight. And I believe this one, I think that's a magpul.

 That will go the vertical foregrip. And then in here for the sighting system,

 And we got the Sig Romeo 5 that we'll put. That's where we're gonna go with the red dot.

 And then this is set up for the lower third co-witness, I believe. Well, I want to go a

 little higher. I'm gonna put a little riser on there. So the Vortex, so is this one, the Vortex

 red dot mounting kit. So it's got a little throw lever on there. So you got your quick release. So

 that's basically what we're gonna put together here. Tools you're gonna need. Let's see, Sig

 includes this little Torx head deal in here. And that's gonna pretty much take care of everything

 that came in the box, I think. But you're gonna want to have an armor as wrench if you ever put

 one together before you even buy the damn kit. Get yourself one of these. They're awesome.

 Bunch of different companies make them. They're all good. And then one thing I like to do is

 anything. You've put a gun together, check the head space. So you got your go, no-go gauges,

 and we'll run over that just to make sure everything is... Well, I don't like it when

 guns pull up my face. That's just the thing. I don't know. And then I've got just a, this is

 the kit I pulled out of my range bag. It's got just your array of screwdrivers and Allen keys

 and whatnot. So having that handy is just gonna help out. Okay, so now we'll get into building

 the damn thing. So I just want to touch on why the Sig MCX. And I believe, I mean, I don't have any

 connection with Sig at this time. I bought this with my own money and it was not a cheap piece

 of kit, right off their website. But I believe this is the future. This is the way things are

 going. So I want to try it out myself and see what we got here. So this was the entry level.

 I don't have to buy the whole damn gun, just buying the upper. And hell, I got enough lowers

 laying around. We'll make this happen. Okay, so starting out, the upper pretty much comes

 good to go. So we're gonna set that off for now. We'll put sights and other stuff on it here in a
