The One Good Road

 My other pedals are much heavier than this one. Actually, how much do these way? Solid Clipless Pedals

I'm not a high end cyclist, my road bike is still an old 94 or 95 model Diamond Back Expert TG (which was a mid range road bike at the time). I wanted to get a clipless set for it, since I've started doing triathlons and had ridden my brothers clipless cycles before. I paired it up with ( [URL REMOVED] ) which were on sale at the time and I've been very happy. These pedals seem to always be on sale in the $40 - $60 range on Amazon and are well worth that price

  I'm definitely not riding downhill on a mtb, but the roads and trails here are super sketchy and these pedals are a charm.

I really like these pedals. I wanted something extremely robust I could use with regular shoes that would stand up to riding in really trashed urban riding (downtown SF) as well as handle gravel and dirt. I have these on a lemond prolog and I ride with both giro rumble VR and usually a couple different pairs of Arc'teryx trail running shoes depending on the weather. Both work well with these pedals (they both have pretty chunky tread, so I don't know how well "actually flat" shoes would work)

Great for treacherous urban riding

Got these as a heftier alternative to my M530 for use in winter commuter cycling. This is my fourth pair of SPD's and my fifth pair of so-called "clipless," or, as I call them, "clippy" pedals. The clips seem to work the same, so I'm not sure I can really tell a difference there, but the nice thing is that they sit in a pretty substantial platform that comes with little screws/studs that allow for greater traction if you can't clip in at any point or if you want to ride with regular shoes. Way more comfortable to ride without clips than the M530's

Great pedals

 I ride a lot of rock gardens and the Saints are made to take the abuse of thousands of rock strikes. I feel like I could hit these with a hammer over and over again and they'd still work. I run the SPD XTRs on my XC bike too which are also great. If you like replacing your stuff all the time, don't buy these

Durability and Functionality
