 250. 500. Finally, I told myself if I could play 1,000 hours of Sea of Thieves by my anniversary in the game (Nov 25th, 2020), I would write the review. Here I am delivering that promise early

I thought it important to describe what Hour 1,000 Day on the Sea of Thieves brought me. My crew mate and I sank, and got sunk. We encountered toxic players, and angels. We tried to lure out some spice by doing a Fort of Fortune

 The next day you could be running Reaper chasing another Reaper into the Shores of Gold for an hour and a half for what turns out to be a f*****g ancient goblet. The adventure and story to be told is yours and always unexpected.

The graphics in Sea of Thieves are just stunning. It is the most beautiful game, nay art, I have ever seen. I dare say the in game water looks more beautiful than real water. There are times that my crew is slightly intoxicated and just staring into the sea as the sun sets below the horizon

 Suddenly while sailing to Crooks Hollow, the water turns black. The Kraken. The next day you could be running Reaper chasing another Reaper into the Shores of Gold for an hour and a half for what turns out to be a f*****g ancient goblet. The adventure and story to be told is yours and always unexpected

 It's exhilarating and strips away any concerns about deciding what to do next. The team coordination required to be successful in the arena is nearly an Olympic-level feat and really puts the most impressive parts of Sea of Thieves on full display. It encourages cooperation with an all-hands-on-deck approach. The original Battlefront 1 and 2 that came out years ago (early 2000s) had the same type of gameplay, but the new Battlefront 1 and 2 were made by EA, and that's where the problems begin.  For parents: What is not listed on the box is EA's toxic behavior of putting loot boxes (unregulated gambling) and pay to win tactics (paid upgrades for the best gear and playable characters such as jedi and sith) into the game

 So, unbeknownst to you parents out there, your child or teenager is being exposed to unregulated gambling in their videogame if they get a hold of your money, and being tempted to purchase their favorite characters from StarWars to play as in the game. The game does not force them to pay any additional charges, but they will have to spend hours playing the game just to be able to play as Luke, Vader, or other popular StarWars characters due to how EA uses this 'grind' to tempt many players to cheat ahead by buying the characters instead. Unfortunately this is also present in games such as Overwatch and Fortnite. Please be advised and monitor your child's gameplay experience

Decent game for a StarWars fan, but parents be warned.

There are brief text tutorials but then there’s a crafting system that needs to be discovered in the menus.  There are different game modes that have no guide or tutorial in them all bunched up in on 40 player game mode. No way to chose what map you want or which unique mode to play. The menus are glitchy and hard to manage. There is no real player customization if you wanted to make your online trooper look different from the rest

 Ultimately, all the offline content is severely lacking. The game is obviously designed so that every player will be forced to play the online multiplayer for any real, satisfying experience, and thus will be forced to either spend countless hours grinding or pay for loot boxes. The whole game feels like a trap just to get more of your money. It is sick that EA would take a franchise so dear as Star Wars and basically use it as a giant ATM

  Overall I'm glad I bought it, especially now that EA has gotten rid of a lot of the pay-to-play stuff. If you love Star Wars games, you'll definitely enjoy this for at least the single player campaign.

 You really need a fast, solid internet connection to play this one, or you will have some lag and glitches. The story campaign was maybe the best part, and if nothing else it's a good practice for playing online--although you won't get most of the weapons and abilities available in it until you play a LOT of multiplayer.  Overall I'm glad I bought it, especially now that EA has gotten rid of a lot of the pay-to-play stuff. If you love Star Wars games, you'll definitely enjoy this for at least the single player campaign

Fun for a little while

 It’s a mix between shootouts, lightsaber fighting and vehicular combat including space battles. My favorite multiplayer mode is Heroes vs Villains which puts Light Side heroes up against the Dark Side villains from all three trilogies. This mode has a mix between lightsaber code quarter and long range gun fights.  GRAPHICS 8/10 The graphics are very good
