I've had other models of Saxx underwear and never had a problem, but as others have mentioned these run very small. I ordered a large which is what all the others have been, but this particular pair were so tight I could hardly get them on. I'm worried an XL might still be too small. It's an expensive way to find the right size

Way Too Small

 Two washes in and they are still tighter than my other pairs.  The "Ballpark Support" is top notch as always, keeping areas comfortable but not too constricted.  Overall if you are looking for underwear for the gym, these would be a go, but if you are thinking daily wear then I would opt for Saxx's Ultra or Daytripper lines instead.

  I think maybe my expectations were a bit different, while I was expecting some 'cooling' fabric, these are definitely made for workouts, runs, and other athletic activities compared to just wearing on the daily. The moisture wicking fabric is similar to that you will find in other "sweat resistant" clothing and just isn't that soft. They feel almost like tights and do not feel as comfortable to me. They fit tighter than the other Saxx I own, so I'm not sure they will stretch the same

 These were a step up from the stands boxer briefs I've had. They run a little tighter but they helps keep things in place. This new design also helps keep things cooler as well. I've put them to the test and found them to hold up great

These are the WORST! They ride up horribly, and the material is terrible, it's like a banana hammock of cooling material and gauze. It feels like a cheese grater in your crotch! I thought it was a size thing because I'm on the edge of large, they sent me a xl but it's even worse. Fruit of the looms are far better, I even have some Hanes xtemps that ride up pretty bad but those are wonderful compared to these torture devices. Do not buy these it's just a gimmick save your money and buy 6 or 8 pairs of 32 degree undies instead those are actually cooling and comfortable

It's hard to beat the Smartwool Merino 150, which has nearly everything we could want in a pair of underwear. The merino wool is soft against the skin, even under the waistband. The legs aren't too long, and they don't ride up whether we were sitting in an office chair or going for a run. The wool is burlier and higher-quality than cotton and fares well over the long haul. Wool also has a natural odor-fighting coating called lanolin, which helped keep the stink down while testing and working in triple-digit heat. This model is exceptional for travel, of either the urban or backcountry variety. If for whatever reason — no judgment — you need to wear them multiple times between washes, their excellent odor control allows you to do so. One of our testers has owned a single pair of these undergarments for over two years, and they have yet to wear out &mdash; still no holes, pilling, or rumpled waistband, attesting to their quality. 
One of the few things to nitpick on these boxer briefs is that they're almost too burly. At an inch and a half wide, the waistband is huge, and quite thick as well. It doesn't ride up, but under other layers, it could get a touch bulky. We also think the fly could be improved by a slightly larger opening. Although this pair will cost you more than most in this review, we believe that they are the best skivvies for any situation you might run into and will surely last a long time.

 Either they didn't feel right next to my skin or they were just too hot. (4) They must keep their shape and wear well over time. The winners all do that. The honorable mentions all do that except for the Tommy John Cotton and Izod Lacoste Cotton Modal which tended to wear quickly

The honorable mentions also do that except for the Izod Lacoste Motion Micro Mesh, which were a bit warm, but fine in the winter. The Smartwool and Mack Weldon also were cool, they just didn't keep me in place. The rest were not comfortable

 I purchased one pair of these to see if they would serve the same purpose and for the most part, they do. The waist band is larger, which isn't an issue, but unlike the previous model that had a flat seam along the bottom of waistband, there are a couple of vertical flat seams in the waistband that could be a problem if you load weight along this area. No complaints other that that, great pair that is comfortable.

I am a six foot, six inch guy who goes on lots of back country adventures. I purchased these to explore moving from synthetic clothing to natural fibers. After a summer backpacking trip in the Colorado wilderness and a rafting trip down the Grand Canyon, I am very impressed with these boxers. Smartwool definitely lived up to their sterling reputation with these boxers

About 6 months ago I bought a pair of Smartwool underwear I will say they are very comfortable although I was a bit uncomfortable spending $50 on pair of underwear. My entire life I’ve just bought the cheapest value pack of Hanes underwear at Walmart and they have done me right I’ve got pairs that are 4 years old still going strong. This leads me to the Smartwool pair I got about 6 months ago. They already have a big hole in the crotch with very minimal wear and I feel as if I spend 50 dollars on a pair of underwear they should easily outlast the cheapest underwear at Walmart

 Unfortunately that’s not the case, even though I’ve had great success wearing their socks for years now but I digress. 50 dollars almost feels like highway robbery at this point I’m about 95% sure I could spend 50 dollars on value packs of underwear today and never have to buy underwear again in my life. If you’re considering buying this you better be rich, or never spend 50 bucks on this pair of underwear.
