Samsung EVO Select MicroSDHC vs Sony Tough High Performance SDXC UHS-II

I tested the old Samsung EVO microSDHC card(MB-MP32DA/AM) back in Oct 2014 and liked it. When I found this newer version (Samsung EVO Select UHS-1 32GB microSDHC ) on sale for a good price, I quickly grabbed another one. The Amazon product page for EVO Select claims "High-performance up to 80MB/s for full HD video recording". This implies its WRITE speed is up to 80MB/s, which would be fantastic for such a low cost card

When connected to my computer, this card is blazing fast compared to standard SD cards. I highly recommend this card.

Most cards have the UHS-I type (singe-row pins) of interface. UHS-II has an additional row for faster transfer speeds REAL WORLD PERFORMANCE & COMPARISON - The closest competitors to this EVO Select card are the SanDisk & Samsung's own Evo cards and they are priced pretty similarly - The only reason why I didn't go for the SanDisk card was the confusion about its U1 rating. Even though its listing & description indicates USH-1 , It does not contain the official SD Card associations standard "U1" logo (1 inside a U). I do not understand why it would claim to be UHS-1 card but not have its official mark - Samsung's own EVO range of cards have a 40Mb/s read and a higher write speed of 40 Mb/s than this EVO Select model

I just got the Sony A7Siii and didn't want to get a CF Express card just yet and this fits the bill perfectly with my Sony A7Siii. No issues what so ever.

These cards are decently reliable but because they make so many, they are produced in different factories with different standards of manufacture. You can see this in the speed tests being slightly different among some batches of cards. I bought this card because most cards have a "lock" which at times will not allow images to store to the card. This is fine if you catch it, or set your camera to identify, but the first time you lose a great image you will be completely disappointed in other cards. I shoot outdoors in dusty and at times wet environments. This card is good
