 This is not a rug for heavy traffic areas, but fantastically cozy to sit and step on. Highly recommended, good quality for the price.

 The only con to this rug is vacuuming it, you cannot use the beater bar, it will ruin it the fibers. The strands are far too long, but that makes it great for comfort. BTW, when I unrolled it there was a postacard inside from Safavieh mentioning possible wrinkles and 'offgassing'. Mine had a faint but not unpleasant odor and a few wrinkles, both have gone away after 2 days.

Didn’t really like the look of the options Ikea had in stock which matched the Idasen base and had no reason to waste the perfect Karlby!. Considerations. - You will need to buy some 25mm wood screws and washers to fix the frame to the table. - You have to measure out the central point to put the base

I made my husband’s desk with the Karlby (74”’) and two white Alex’s. It’s been four years, with 3 monitors, one laptop and stand, his PC, keyboard, vase, and a lamp on top. No sagging!

Hello everyone.  I'm strongly considering purchasing a Karlby (74"x42") butcher block counter to use as a desktop.  I notice that this desk is primarily particleboard with a wood veneer.   
My concern with this is that particleboard doesn't hold up like wood if it doesn't have proper support.   


Has anyone used this as a desk, and have you - after a year - noticed sagging or deformation?  Did anyone do anything up front to counteract this possible issue?
