 From what we can see, ROV has included most of everything you will need to get this dashcam mounted, set up, and functioning in your vehicle. The only thing you'll have to pick up on your own is a micro SD card, and I'll have the link in the description below if you need one, but they are pretty common these days and can get a fairly large one for relatively cheap. Now let's go ahead and take a look at how to set up the dashcam and get it working in our vehicle. Here's how you connect the suction cup mount to the camera itself

 This is important to me because I bought this camera to prove my innocence if I get ticketed. I just received a ticket for going 59 in a 45. I was actually going 54 in a 55. I will fight the ticket because I took pictures of where I was

It works, for the most part, but has some issues.

  * I love the compact size and shape of this camera. Easily the most attractive of all the 4K options. A+ on looks.  * The windshield mount is fantastic; best I've used

Really wanted to like this...

 The Wi-Fi on these is just slow. I almost wish it was Bluetooth. I don't know if that would be an option to have it be like a Bluetooth device that just transfers the data that way and maybe that would have made this cost more and one of the big selling points for this ROV R2 4k dashcam is the price. Today as of recording it's $119

 There was a original A129 Duo and then a single channel version actually. The difference between this and the A119, if you get the single channel version, the design is slightly different. It seems higher quality but it also has wi-fi so that's one benefit of this. With wi-fi there is an app you can use to view your files wirelessly and then you can save, transfer and save your video files to your phone wirelessly in case you need to save some sample footage

 So I hope this video was helpful for you guys. I'll provide links down in the description to my other viafo reviews give you a chance to see the video quality of those other models that I didn't directly compare because I don't have them all anymore other than the a119 v3. Again check down in the description to those video reviews. I'll provide affiliate links down in the description

 Now after the original A129 came out they released a Pro model and that one has 4k in the front and 1080p in the rear. So now this one is sort of an intermediate model between the original and the Pro 4k model but I think this might actually be replacing the original because I think the price is the same at 180 dollars. You can see here though this one has quad HD in the front and full HD in the rear. The original A129 was only full HD in the front and rear which is 1080p

0 sometime soon. So guys overall I think this is another good product from viafo. viafo is one of my three favorite dashcam companies. They're not the most high tech out there but they typically have some of the best video quality in their cameras and while they don't have as advanced parking mode features as BlackV or Thinkware they are typically much cheaper much more affordable and I would argue a good value for the price you pay for them too

 Vifo did reach out and send this to me for review so I'd like to thank them for reaching out to me. If you guys aren't aware, there are several A129 models and I got a lot of similar questions because there was the A119 originally and they're on version 3 of that, not including the Pro and G versions, but right now they're on the A119v3 and people constantly ask if there's a two channel version of that. That's basically what this A129 model is. Now this is actually the third version of the A129 also

 Now in my car, the rear window is not ideal for a rear camera because the rear window in my car, you can probably see that is half tinted. So half of it is white, half of it is black, and it's kind of slanted in a weird way. So definitely not the best rear window for a rear camera. So of course this will depend on from car to car because all cars are different

VIOFO A129 Plus Duo Premium Dash Camera Review & Sample Recordings

I can vouch that Viofo A129 Plus Duo works great in high heat. Mine bakes in the sun all day outdoor parking in the central valley when I'm there for work and it has zero recording issues. Duo, Plus Duo, and Pro Duo are respectively 1080p, 2k, and 4k resolution for the front camera; rear is always 1080p.

With a zillion on the market, I’m hoping this group will help me find just the right cam. My requirements:

• 1080 or better resolution
• front and rear cameras
• be able to remove front camera
• tolerates southern CA heat
• under $150

Bonus if I can mount it to a bar at the base of the windshield, since a Jeep doesn’t have the typical headliner that would allow me to tuck/hide a wire under it.

Help selecting the right dashcam.

 Negative was this placement calls for a much smaller cable which through me for an another challenge.  Turns out, a mini usb to mini usb that is 5in and is MEANT FOR THIS JOB is impossible to find. BEWARE, you may find a mini usb to mini usb cable that is small, but most likely won’t work because it isn’t configured to connect a camera to another camera. Viofo makes a “shorter” cable but is still way too long for my job

 Then go to the time zone settings and appropriately select the time zone. In my case, the camera defaulted 6 hours faster than my actual time. I then went to time zone settings and selected GMT-6 and the problem was solved. Syncing with the cell phone is only temporary unless the time zone is correct
