 With that directional flex, it's easier to butter on the nose. I mean, when you press into that, it locks and holds until you want to snap out of it. Sure, there's a little bit of rebound, but it doesn't fight you. It just gives you that pop you want to spin back out of the 180 that you did to go into it or whatnot

 Hello snowboarders of the internet! I'm your host, Averin LeFevre, and in this video we'll be reviewing the new Super Pig from Ride Snowboards. This board is available in extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large. This board features Ride's directional hybrid camber, which is just a directional cam rocker. So you got a bunch of rocker out in the nose, camber underfoot, and then a little rocker out in the tail

 Basically, this board is designed to be on edge or flat based. It just fucking rips. So who's this board for? The all-mountain freestyle guy that wants to downsize. Someone that just found the Warpig a little too soft and wants something a little more aggressive, and I mean just a little bit more aggressive

 You just got to get your weight over it, really press into it. When it comes to jibbing, obviously, a nose press is gonna be better than a tail press on this board, but the tail press still doesn't suck. You know, you got to figure out where the sweet spots are on this board and get your weight over it, and when you do, it engages and locks in. The beauty of this thing is that it's got camber underfoot, so when you get sideways, it hugs the feature and stays locked in

The Ride Superpig Snowboard Review

 The Warpig is flat-to-rocker, a Superpig is proper camber and would carve better. As I get older, I’m not a fan of the Ride/LibTech graphics… And gravitate more towards Jones and Arbor’s style of being more understated.

Shopping around for a new board for the first time in coming up on 2 decades and trying to get some feedback. I’m an advanced rider, get down just about anything without issue. Really only avoid EX terrain type stuff. Just don’t have the stones to hit gnarly chutes or drop off cliffs with 2 young kids to take care of. Don’t ride park, but hit the occasional side hit or log if the line looks good. Like steeps, trees and technical terrain that requires planning a line and executing. Currently ride a very old Burton Custom 152 

Most of my riding will be mostly on the east coast, with trips to other places as my schedule allows. I’m 5’8” @ 150-160lbs and wear an 8.5 size boot. 

I’d been eyeing the Burton Instigator 155, Ride Warpig 148 and Lib Tech Orca 147 as boards that seemed well regarded and fit my rider profile. Any other boards I’m overlooking? If I can’t make a decision I’ll demo something, but I’m in WNY so not a ton of ski shops and demo choices when the season rolls around.

What board would you buy if you were me?

 The Super Pig is the exact same shape as the War Pig with just some upgraded features. The number one thing we want to talk about here, we got the update last year, is the carbon slim wall. So the slim wall construction has the top sheet wrapping down to the edge, it reduces weight on the edge. You still have a urethane layer in there and the carbon slim wall has a carbon layer in there as well

So what that's going to do, the urethane dampens vibrations or damps vibrations and the carbon is going to add response and snappiness to your turn. So the War Pig and the Super Pig, we recommend riding 6 to 10 centimeters shorter

 So if you've ridden the War Pig and you're like, I just want just a little bit more, I want something faster, snappier, that's kind of where the Super Pig comes in. Graphically, fit in with the entire rest of the pig line, using that race base means it's got to be a black base, so we just paired that with a black top sheet. It looks really clean, really cool, really fast. If you're looking for a really fast, short, wide snowboard or you're looking for something to upgrade from your War Pig, hard snow performance, this thing rips park jumps, you'll see some of our guys riding park jumps, half pipe, even sometimes rails on it, it'll do super good soft snow, all mountain, you can kind of ride everywhere with it, slash all over the mountain, definitely a fun one, 22, 23, ride Super Pig

 That's sort of where the Super Pig comes in. The camber, what it's going to do is make the Super Pig a little bit more angry, it's a little bit like you have to be more on top of it. The War Pig is a really easy riding snowboard. The Super Pig, definitely a little higher performance, really quick edge to edge, really wants to rip in and out of those turns
