 Controls are "ok." The alarm on/off switch is in the back, which is a little less convenient. Big sleep bar on top, the usual 9 minute sleep delay that most clocks have. There's no way to easily see what time your alarm is set to (my old clock allowed you to simply push the alarm button and the alarm time would flash on the display while you held the button down)

Wake up the dead LOUD.

This alarm is about perfect for our needs. We just wanted a small alarm (this is about the smallest one I've seen), with large numbers (this is about as big as they get) that does not give off too much light (most other LED screens/numbers are too bright if you want a dark room to sleep in). I gave it 4 stars because the build feels a bit cheap. Sony has an alarm at a similar price point that feels a little better made

Great clock, especially for what it cost

This alarm clock is supposed to be loud I didn't think so. I set it up across the room about 8 feet from my head and I could barely hear it. The other thing I disliked was the location and operation of the alarm shut-off. That may only be a personal thing

 That way, whether setting the alarm, or even the time, you just have to move the switch all the way up for lock. There's no trying to make sure the switch is in the middle position and it's not pushed a little too far. If it were pushed a little too far (into the time set position (all the way up)), one would never know it, as there would be nothing to indicate so. It's just a bad design with the switch layout

 Really really nice display, right? Very, very cool looking clock. A couple other things that are really cool about this particular alarm clock is that it has two Usb ports. So you get two Usb ports in the front here that you can use to charge your phone and stuff like that. and that's really cool

 Watch this. Dark bright. So if you're one of those people that has a problem sleeping with like lights on in the room, the dimmer feature back here is really really nice and really convenient. Some people have a hard time with anything bright in the room, so in theory you could just dim it, which is a really, really nice feature

 I'm very sensitive to light at night, this thing is just too bright. If I dim it to an acceptable level then it's unreadable. PLEASE make a version with red LEDs and I'll buy 4 of them.

 Rather than blasting you with sound when the alarm is triggered, it raises the volume slowly, which is much appreciated. The controls and display are well laid out and the display brightness is adjustable. This is a nicely designed product that I'm extremely happy with.

This clock radio is outstanding

 This one can be turned right down and it’s not bright red or green, but a nice grayish white. 😊 . I might just buy another for the spare room and for my side of the bed! I like it!
