Sizing up would be a good idea if you like to wear warm insulating layers underneath; otherwise, we were very impressed with the performance of this softshell/hardshell hybrid jacket, though take note: while impressively water-resistant, the Kinetic isn't as waterproof as a rain jacket.

The jacket is good quality just not too fond of the fit. I got a small and the sleeves are pretty snug on the arms yet the body of the jacket is pretty loose and long which is a little unflattering .

This is a great windbreaker with two layers so it will be warmer than you expect. I thought the hood tucked into the collar but not. I don't know why this is not standard practice. For the price you can't go wrong!
