 This of course won't happen to everyone, but it is something that you should be cautious about. I use retinoids at night, so I do not apply this alongside those just in the morning. Also in really dry climates or in the wintertime, I do recommend applying a moisturizer over this because sometimes hyaluronic acid can pull water out of your skin if the air around you is so dry and there's no humidity in the air, it has to pull that water from somewhere. So for very humid climates, this works great to use alone, but in dry climates, do apply a moisturizer over this to get optimal results

 I always dig a little bit deeper. So I'm pretty much on board with the thought process of their products enough so that I have tried many Vichy products out and I've really been enjoying most, not all, but most of them. I apply it after my vitamin C serum because it helps that vitamin C penetrate better and get more benefit from that product. So it is great to apply after your treatment serums and should not interact with any other active products in a bad way

 This is just such a versatile product. Now what should you not pair with this? I do not pair this with retinol, not because it will interact in a bad way or inactivate the retinol, but because it will make the surrounding products on your skin stronger, it has the potential to cause increased irritation from your retinoid, which is called a retinoid dermatitis. This of course won't happen to everyone, but it is something that you should be cautious about. I use retinoids at night, so I do not apply this alongside those just in the morning

 So if Vichy uses this special volcanic water, maybe there's some potential difference there. So it turns out this volcanic water has 15 minerals in it, which basically supercharges the skin barrier to strengthen it and keep those environmental toxins out, which can accelerate skin aging. So essentially this mineral rich water is healing and anti-aging. Now it's one thing to claim that, but does it really do those things? So that leads me to another discovery about this brand, which is that they are very research forward, meaning they perform clinical studies on their products with real patients and objectively measure the results to see how effective the product is
