 The ear pads were not secured to helmet w velcro; pressure sensitive tape and one was loose in box. Matte finish is a nice surprise. More comfortable than my Pret helmet. My Dragon goggles don't fit as snug to my face as they do w Pret - I have to rotate the POC back on my head a bit to get proper fit

Finally found a helmet that fits my 6 year olds perfect. Tried over 2 dozen and this one was perfect.

For context, my local ski shop is doing an end-of-summer blowout sale on a buttload of gear, I could either get the Smith Maze for $90 or the Smith Scout for $50. He had other helmets as well, but most of them were either too big (I wear a small) or were at higher price points that were still a bit absurd to me even with the sale going on.
