The very first thing that hit me is that it did NOT come in a nice blister package to signify it's brand new and unused! Next folks, is that this mechanical pencil is entirely too slim! Plus it's extremely easy to break the lead. This is a product to bypass with due diligence as it's so thin and easy to damage it possibly. This mechanical pencil is one to write off and keep shopping! If you especially have a heavier hand, you will be frustrated with this product. I read reviews but found nothing about how thin and light handed you MUST be with it

i write a lot, mostly technical stuff, drawings equations and the like.. like a pen or pencil that fits my hand and does not produce fatigue. this is a nice pencil very light

5 2B lead. it is noticeably smoother than the Pentel lead and others i have tried. The 2B leaves a nice trace in the Mead Cambridge Canary colored spiral notebooks i use for my laboratory notebooks. again i have tried many notebooks too

 I gave it a 4 Star rating because of the lighter weight as compared to more traditional drafting/drawing pencils, but that may be a little unfair. The Grahlet is a welcome new tool for scribblers and sketchers and diarists.

 The eraser also has a little metal rod stuck into the bottom of it that is also .3 sized to use if you accidentally break of small pieces of lead and they're stuck inside the tip. The lead I'm currently using is HB but I'll probably start using B or 2B once I run out because I like the writing dark, and as stated earlier, its not very easy to write with a lot of pressure and not break the lead.

 I also carry a thin pencil eraser and a larger block eraser with me because, as a student and constant doodler, I erase a lot. (and when you're taking notes in a lecture you don't always have the time to take the cover off the back of your pencil to erase a mistake).  The lead moves out very little when you click it but, although lightly irritating on occasion, is good because if you have a lot of lead sticking out when you write it breaks really easily. I only click it twice each time the lead runs down and that has worked best for me. I do write with more pressure than necessary though so other might have the lead sticking out more without it breaking a lot. It comes with a little (its actually pretty long and sits in a metal holder so you can move it up as you use it if you choose) eraser which I don't use because I find the hassle of replacing them to be more than its worth

My goto in my shop, I’m a custom woodworker, n love mechanical pencils for consistent thickness of lines for my joinery layouts. I have at least 35 on my bench of various thicknesses of leads, this 1, is my first choice. The thickness of the lead, helps deter the lead from breaking on wood grain while I accomplish my joinery layouts. Anyone want my 35 + “others”? Lol

Just got this pencil for my everyday writing, and I had to jump on here to write a review because the quality for the cost is really impressive. Not only is it very sturdy, but it also looks professional and well-built. There's a cap on the eraser to keep it from getting dirty, which may seem excessive, but I think it's good to have just in case you'd like it. I also prefer this ribbed grip to the rubber kinds that most other pencils have

IMO the Rotring is too expensive at that price point. You can get a Rotring 600 for $30, which is practically the same pen without the retractable tip. I prefer to find pens with the LEAST amount of moving parts so there's a decreased risk of mechanical failure.

Like the title says I'm looking at getting my first expensive pen, that also has some quality refill options available. I don't know much about refills, so hoping with the pen recs i can search here for their refills.

 I've found the rOtoring 800 (61$ on jetpens) and the TI Click ($100 on jetpens) are my current choices. I have a strict 125$ before tax limit on whatever I buy. I'm looking for a click pen, I've never used a bolt pen, but can be considered. Since i need a one handed pen, job reqs, twist, cap are out of the ring.

First expensive pen, I'm looking to dig in and buy a good pen with many refill options

I have average size hands (maybe a tad larger than average) for a guy and this pen feels tiny. So tiny it hurts my hand to write with for a while. Also, as others have stated, it clicks everytime you lift and place down because the cartridges do not have a good fit inside the pen. The actuall metal body build quality is very nice, but I will not be using it as it is uncomfortable to write with

 It lacks heft, the clicking mechanism is spongy, overall it just isn’t the same.  Do yourself a favour, scour eBay for an original, they were just better.

 It has an excellent balance, very hefty, good grip section, good click mechanism, and a very cool aesthetic. I would strongly recommend this over the Rotring Rapid Pro as I find that pen a bit too long and it has a plastic piece connecting the grip and barrel.  Pros: 1. Excellent construction Coated Brass, very few plastic parts

This is an excellent ballpoint. While it does lack a few things the older model 600s had like the twist top to indicate color. it is a hefty, strong every day carry pen.  This pen may have been a little pricey for a ballpoint, but the quality and construction are there to make it worth it

NOT THE ORIGINAL, BUT STILL EXCELLENT AND ONE OF MY FAVORITE BP PENS

I’ve owned a few of these over the years and they are straight to the point, (no pun intended) sturdy, reliable, comfortable and look sharp, not bulky at all, physically the same size as a disposable Bic pen. For the price, if you use a ballpoint pen for work regularly, this is probably the last pen you need to buy (as a normal not-flashy person)
