Pentel Graphgear 500 vs Pentel P200

The $3.50 price swayed me. And, happily, the leads don’t break more than my 0.5mm pencils

Haven't had a chance to use them a lot, but the lead is smooth and the feel is good. The smallest size is very fragile so be careful about how much you have out at a time. The eraser likes to be clamped down a bit, but its nice to have so much extra eraser over a Bic without the weird plastic mechanism of some other mechanical pencils.

None of those worked for me. What did work for me was the Prismacolor Magic Rub erasers and I keep one in my apron. They aren't perfect but they do a good enough job that some light planing or sanding can clean up easily.

The erasers are covered by a silver cap. New leads can be installed through the hole under the eraser. The clips are not real tight, but tight enough to hold paper. Each pencil is labeled but also the different colors help distinguish which size you are needing
