They're great, cheap, and not a hassle, but I don't want to contribute to our ever-growing landfills. I did some digging, but there seems to be a lot of information to uncover. It could take me a couple of weeks to fully sort out what pen I want. So I came here with the hopes of getting a straightforward answer as to what pen I should buy.

**Here's my criteria:**

 \- Refillable

 \- Sturdy

 \- Preferably around or under 50 USD. I'm not sure if I want to spend $100 or $200 on a pen, at least not yet.

 \- Won't make a mess. I've stumbled across Fountain Pens during my research, and apparently you have to position them the right way when carrying them around or else they could create a mess. While I am open to fountain pens as an option, I would appreciate it if there were other alternatives.

Good Pens for a Student in College?

 Yes, he just very varied. It'S like right here, it's the very first place. The pen like lays down ink. That'S where the smearing happens

So it's that one area where it gets a little extra ink deposited because it's the beginning and you can see - there's not a lot of it, but that's that's what smudges it's the very very, very, very, very first pot you put your pen down is what smears So bear that in mind left these, that it is pretty much equipped dry ink, except for that one spot might need a little bit more drying

 I guess real downside is that if you look at the price on target like ten bucks for the five they're $ 2.00, a gel pen that is on the expensive side, especially considering that they are like target gel pens, i'll check out cost breakdowns more. When I do the big comparison, but cost wise, these are pricier than other gel pens you can get. Yes, I need to find out what the refill cost is for that thunderdome to find out how like the appreciates overtime, it might not be the correct word for that

Nice steady an functional lead pencil. Pricy! Not sure if I could support that price hence the reason for 3 stars. If not for the price 4.5 stars, would of been my grade!

 It makes it seem a little bit more smooth Just nicer and more professional looking I guess The retractable tip is probably is probably the best feature on this and for $10 on Amazon It runs quite a bit higher on some other websites. I think I've seen as high as 21 But I mean on Amazon it's gonna cost you 10 bucks for each of the models I've seen a full set one of every size for about 35 So you're gonna save a couple bucks or about a dollar dollar 25 on each one Mechanism that holds it forward I've already mentioned this but you don't get the plunger feeling like some people mention on the 800s and I think that's because of the way it stays forward I haven't noticed too much of a plunger feeling on my 800s, but I also just got them recently I've got the 800 and the 800 plus But this one is definitely going to keep that away So overall, I think it's a great mechanical pencil awesome one for your for your money Great features for the cost.  Hello everybody and welcome back to my channel the gentleman reviewer this week so tonight I have

 The Pentel graph gear 1000 which I'll be reviewing for you guys

 One of my first mechanical pencil reviews was actually the Pentel graph gear 500

 This is one of the ones that I've had the longest so be sure to check out my video

 I think it's actually my most popular video right now

 More recently I reviewed the Pentel graph gear 800

 Which is kind of it's supposed to be a step up between to the 500 and a step between the 500 and the 1000

 I didn't really like it a heck of a lot so you can go over and check my video

 If you're interested in that and then like I said tonight, I have the Pentel graph gear 1000 so later on

 I will be doing a comparison video between these three with some of the things I like and dislike

 About each one of them in one video. I can't decide if I want to do a blog post

 Comparing the three of them like in written format, but if you guys would like to see that

 So I have a chance to use this for a couple of weeks now. I've had it for a couple of months

 But as you probably have guessed I have quite a few mechanical pencils

 And I can only review one at a time or I prefer to only review one at a time

 And make sure that I have my points and my ducks in a row, I guess so

 Like I said, I've used this for a couple of weeks now

 Right off the bat. I really liked the weight of it. It's a solid

 You know it gives it a good weight. I prefer heavier pens, especially the something along the lines of like a rotring 800

 I'll be comparing it to this in a little bit since they're both retractable tips

 But yeah, I mean I didn't like the grip right off the bat

 But it did grow on me over time things tend to do that

 I guess I don't like it at first, but then they grow on me

 I think I've said that quite a few times in this blog
