Pelican Rogue Series vs TORRAS MoonClimber iPhone 12 Series

I'm not convinced that this will protect my phone at all. Still looking for a good case.

My wife likes this style of kickstand case, the more minimal the better. Build quality is nice, fits the iPhone 12 Pro well, feels good, looks good, the kickstand feels solid enough, the kickstand bump is not too large, and it is usable with a wireless charger despite the bump. The problem is, the kickstand only works horizontally. In fairness, that's all it claims on the product page, but being able to stand the phone up vertically is a really good feature, so it was kind of a deal-breaker that it won't

I also miss the clear protector for the screen that was on the 6. Pelican could include this as it helps keep the screen clean.

This is a great case with a slim form factor and the wireless charging does work. However the number one reason for getting one of these case is to protect it from accidental falls and here is the catch you must be aware of: This case has an extremely low raised lip, in other words there is a very small amount of protection for the phone screen if it falls flat. So if you decide to get this, you MUST also use a good tempered glass screen protector. My iPhone fell a few times and had no issues while using this case

Wish it had more of a protective lip, in case it falls flat. The current design has the screen almost flush with the sides of the case.

I ordered two of this type of items, one for iPhone 12 and another for iPhone 13. Both great items. The metal plate on the back is a great design idea. The 13 one is slightly better than the 12 model, but both great items
