I attached a picture on this review. The air clearance is nominally 3" to the left and right and above and 1" to the rear. <2" is very difficult to obtain given the thick heavy power cord goes straight out of the rear and needs more more than 1" just to connect to the power outlet (assuming its behind the oven). I was concerned since I had 2" clearance to the left of the oven (up against a wall), but the customer service agent said it was no problem if there was sufficient air space to the right (I have 5")

I like buttons. I'm like a kid with buttons. My favorite feature is the sensor reheating. It works pretty well as long as it's not too thick in the middle

The fan on the GE may be as loud as the fan of the Panasonic but is enclosed in a cabinet with a trim frame. When I wanted to (gently) heat my morning oatmeal in the NN-SN936B, I had to close doors to keep from waking up my wife (18 meters away) due to the loud, harsh beep & loud fan of the Panasonic moven. We are experienced & educated people who have never been afraid of technology & could not get this moven to turn off the beep by following the instructions. I downloaded the owners manuals for 5 other Panasonic moven models & attempted to apply the beep mute instructions from them to this moven & the beep could not be turned off, to say nothing of the lack of volume control for a moven at this price point

- Noise Level (Cooking noise) - It does make noise like all microwaves do but the noise it makes is actually pretty quiet. Much more quiet than my old microwave. The noise it makes is an odd buzzing noise when you turn it on to cook. At first i thought that buzzing noise it was making was a bad sign but that's just the noise it makes

It had become dangerous and was destined for the dumpster.) The problem was likely caused by the door being slammed by whomever returned it. They bought it, it was delivered, they unpacked it, they set it up, they broke it, they packed it up and they sent it back. In reality, a single screw was not tight enough which allowed the latching mechanism inside the unit to be pushed back when the door was slammed which resulted in the door not latching closed properly, the switch not being closed and the unit to not function

It would have been perfect except that the delivery person allowed a large, sharp item of some sort to penetrate the box and go right through to the microwave and cause a big dent and scratch on door. Made me wonder if they had a harpoon in the delivery van. How could you do that sort of damage and not even notice it?! This was not a manufacturer issue. Third replacement ordered; 4

Third update October 12, 2017 Repair made under warranty in January has failed, so that for the second time since the purchase in July, 2016, this microwave is not useable. Panasonic refused to take any responsibility for correcting the failed warranty repair. The only communication available was a chat line exchange with an unsatisfactory outcome. Amazon has indicated that I may receive a refund - possibly partial - upon their receipt of the microwave under an authorized return

Checked with Toshiba and it only has a one year warranty. Good basic microwave, but wish it was guaranteed to last longer than one year.
