The product does what it's supposed to do, but after about 10 trips through the dishwasher the plastic ball warped and bent out of shape (product says dishwasher safe). Amazingly, as long as you squeeze the top on it still does an effective job, but I was disappointed in the plastic bowl. I do have a very good brand new dishwasher, too, so I know it's not a faulty appliance.

Great salad spinner—but with cheap materials considering the price

I've have a salad spinner from another brand before. I always felt like I could take it or leave it. The OXO feels completely different on my hands. First of all, it's big enough to make a family salad; in not saying it's for a huge family but if you have 4 or so in the house, you won't be running batches

 Another thing that struck me right away was the sturdy strainer. It is really quite strong and you could easily use this for your daily vegetable wash.

 It didn't spin or dry as effectively for me. I knocked off a star due to that, but it's absolutely a 5⭐️ for someone who is using this for a multiple people or larger amounts.  I ended up returning this, and switching it out for the OXO smaller salad spinner which is perfect for my needs.

This is REALLY well made, I was impressed! The plastic is very strong, and the spin mechanism worked well.  However, it's HUGE. I think this would be an amazing salad spinner for a family, but for an individual it was too big and took up too much space on my shelves. I also found that making a single serving of salad for 1 - with light lettuces (like butter lettuce) didn't work as well as when the spinner was half full or more

Large, effective, sturdy, spins smoothly

Works great and it’s dishwasher safe in the top rack. However, only the two bowls fit in the top rack leaving me to hand wash the lid piece. Is it a pain? Sure, but in the grand scheme of things, I’ve had worse hangnails.

 Like everything else now, make it cheaper but maintain the price or raise it. Buyer beware. We love salad spinners and this one does work save the above notes.

This is a great salad spinner. Watch out, Make sure you get the glass version! There’s a cheaper plastic one. Don’t be cheap and buy a plastic bowl. Spend extra for the real deal! It’s heavy, just note that
