First off Gamakatsu makes the sharpest hooks I've ever used. So just by buying this brand you're getting a good product. These are lightwire though they do make "superline" versions which are made from a thicker wire. I prefer the lightwire tho, take a lot less effort to set the hook and these are pretty damn strong, I've never bent one
