Featuring the brand’s signature Ferrosi Fabric, this semi-trim-fitting pant provides an excellent mix of weight, durability, stretch, and all-around mobility. In addition, it excels at temperature regulation: We’ve found it’s tough enough to cut the wind and shed light rain but dries quickly and breathes when the thermometer starts to climb. It’s worth noting that the Ferrosi was recently updated, with highlights including a bump in sustainability—the fabric is now bluesign-approved and 46% recycled—but the winning formula has gone largely unchanged for years, which is a good thing.

The Ferrosi takes our top hiking pants spot for 2022, but we do have a couple nitpicks with the design. That said, for hitting the backcountry, it’s as good as it gets on the market currently. Outdoor Research Men's Ferrosi Hooded Jacket

 This is a men's size large also it does have a cinch here, so you can cinch it the little hem here around your waistline. If you choose to do so, there is just that one on the one side, so these four OC hoodies are made out of that's kind of spandex stretchy material, about door research. I really love this material, it's really nice and stretchy. This is kind of more or less a mid layer, type of geek piece of gear

 This is kind of a longer fit. It is a trim fit, but it's a kind of a longer bed, and I like that, because you can kind of pull it down a little bit and kind of get it down on your body a little bit more. Maybe you want to kind of cover your backside a little bit more like that. It'S a very good feature

Hey there folks Luke here with the up dog river view, I hope you're all doing well today, for this episode we have the Outdoor Research / oç hoodie 360 time now. What we have here is a softshell hoodie, and this is an all season piece that you could wear over a t-shirt. You can wear this over a down jacket. You could wear this in the spring

 You also have two pockets down here very nice. You also have the hood, which is fully adjustable all that good stuff. Now, like I've mentioned, I have been testing this out for a number of months and I really like this jacket. It'S extremely comfortable, it's very lightweight, it's also very compressible, so you could shove this in a small pack into a lumbar pack

 I can go hiking, I can go skiing. I could sit around a fire now when it comes to cost you're. Looking at one hundred and thirty dollars at the time of filming, I was able to find this for as low as eighty five dollars on the internet. So look around find a good deal now

 In just a moment now, with a fur OC hoodie, I went with a larger size than I typically wear, because I wanted to use this for layering now. As you can see here, the jacket looks great, it looks comfortable and that's because it really is comfortable. The soft shell material, this Kaduri spandex material, is absolutely awesome. It really is, it breeds very, very well

Excellent Quality but Pricey - Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hoody - Review

Ideal pants would be on the slimmer side, have a cinch at the bottom to keep snow out and maybe fleece lined or just heavier material to keep the heat in and the wind out.

 I'm hoping to find pants that work down to about freezing so I can just layer if it gets any colder. Snow pants are out because they are always way too baggy.

 Hiker by any means, but i am always looking to cut some weight where i can. I weighed both the hooded and the non-hooded version of this jacket. Again, it's a size large. The non-hooded version came in at 11

This is the best jacket you’ll ever buy for an active outdoor lifestyle. I don’t need to go in depth because this piece is just so popular and reviewed dozens of times on YouTube so if you’re on the fence with it just go look up reviews there. I’m only writing this review to talk about the fit. I Have the ferrosi insulated jacket and wear it in XXL and the fit is perfect! But this jacket in XXL is just slightly larger

  Edit; The XL sleeves are perfect. I’d think about sizing down on this jacket if you’re on the fence.

My favorite piece ever.

 I don't start sweating in it, I still feel comfortable and it just lets the air in and out when it gets colder. It keeps my heat in and it's awesome and then if it goes below that I will layer up and I can easily get two to three layers underneath this and because it's so flexible and made with that spandex you're, not feeling again constrained and constricted. Even though I may have a long sleeve t-shirt on and then maybe like a lightweight, you know hasip and then this on top of that when we get down to like 20 degrees, with some of the filling we've done here and that you've seen at the channel And I'm totally comfortable as well, so I just love all of that combined and what really makes this. For me, this jacket stand out from the crowd is that breathability and flexibility? Okay, guys want to show you the pockets here on this hoodie, you get three pockets and the first one is up here this breast pocket and you get great little kind of grab for these pockets with great zippers

 You know normal pockets, though, with zippers again get that nice mesh, so that acts kind of instead of pit zips as an extra way to get ventilation in nice deep pocket in there. You can see how big my hand is running around you, get a little keychain tassel on this one, so you could put your keys in there and it won't fall out. I, like that feature, a lot: that's really really cool, and then you just get the same thing over here again deep pocket put a lot of stuff in there. One other way that you can kind of store and carry this hoodie is one of the pockets

 You know cone or anything like that fits real. Well, they give you two elastic cinches, so you can really cinch that down. They got the zipper cover as well over here, so that when you zip it up, it's not going to bite into your face. You know they have a nice little cover there

 You know running a long-sleeve shirt and I am extremely comfortable. I mean I could stay out here all day: I've worn the exact same stuff on the bow of the ship that we've been, you know cruising on and it feels very comfortable and it is definitely a windbreaker jacket. Now I would say if the wind is blowing. Probably faster than 20 knots or you know, 20 miles an hour
