This backpack is pretty comfortable. It doesn’t move at all on my back once fastened and tightened. The pockets in the front are big enough to fit an XR iphone and outer box case. I don’t use the water bellie as I don’t job that far just to work

 The s/m size fit my work clothes, shoes, lunch, with a bottled water. Though it developed a small hole in the pocket nearest my back that I had to patch up, I’m still happy with the purchase compared to lord of other running commuter backpacks

Pretty Comfortable Running Backpack

 This one just isn't working for me for trail running. I love it for lightweight day hiking or fast hike peaks but I've worn it a few times on some long trail run days and it just feels too clunky for a trail running vest - though I do love the women's specific fit and the gear capacity, fits a full first aid kit, poles, 2.5-3.5 L of water, extra layers and nutrition

 I couldn’t find the comfortable place where the strap didn’t hurt my shoulder and the massive-ness didn’t rub my nipples (I said I wasn’t going to say nipple, but I don’t think I can adequately review it without). The irritation was awful. I also realized that I want a pack that sits on my hips and the length of this one didn’t allow for that.

Wow! Just used this for the first time for a tough, 28-mile, trail run. This is the best vest I’ve had. Very breathable. Lots of support and I love the easy access, pocket storage space and overall fit

If you need a mountain bike hip pack for bigger rides, we feel the Osprey Seral 7 is an excellent choice. With 7-liters of storage capacity and a 1.5-liter water bladder, it has you covered for long days in the saddle. While it might be tough to fit all of your trail essentials, a sandwich, and a jacket in most of the packs in this review, it is a non-issue for the Seral. It also delivers stellar levels of comfort with an angled hip belt and compression straps that keep the load tight against the body and impressively stable. The back panel features a functional ventilation system along with breathable airmesh on the hip wings to help keep sweat at bay. Water flows quickly from the hydration system's bite valve, which is secured at the waist with an easy access magnet. Instead of routing the hydraulic hose through a little hole in the side of the bag, Osprey takes a simple approach where you route the hose out of the corner of the main zipper for quick and easy filling and cleaning. 
Given the size and width of this pack, it may not be the best option for smaller riders. Your back only has a limited amount of real estate available for a hip pack, and riders with a proportionally smaller lower back may feel that the Seral occupies a lot of that space. While we love how quick and easy it is to access the hose and bite valve with the magnet system, it can be prone to picking up sand and small rocks, which can decrease its integrity and may require occasional cleaning.  Easy access. Keep keep in mind my iphone does not have a case on it so it's just iphone 13. Pro Bear just fits in here perfectly. No case

 It is really nice that this hip pocket is just big enough to fit my iphone 13. Anything bigger, it probably would not fit, but my phone fits right in there so when we're on the trail, I can pull it out, look at trail forks, take a photo, anything like that, and zip it right back in. Easy access. Keep keep in mind my iphone does not have a case on it so it's just iphone 13

 After that, I would probably take my bigger backpack so I could have more water. The Osprey bladder system is really nice, simple to use. They slide off, unfold, fill it up, slide it back on. When the bladder is full, it's still really comfortable in the pack

Osprey Seral 7 Mountain Bike Hip Pack Review

 This hip pack is the sweet spot for me with the capacity of a small back pack and comfort of a hip pack. I can carry plenty of water, first aid, snacks, and the side straps allow my to bring either 2 jackets or a jacket and extra elbow pads. The side pockets are generously sized and easily accessible. The belt is able to be tightened enough that the bag doesn't bounce around too much with technical downhill riding, and is also the most comfortable hip bag I've worn

I help lead mountain bike rides, so I carry more food and first aid supplies than I would need for myself. I do not like backpacks because the pressure on my shoulders leads to neck pain, and they make me overheat easier. The resurgence of the fanny pack

I like the material it's made of. It is not that plastic feel you get on cheaper bags, this one is made very well. It hold alot of stuff. I think even more than some backpacks I have tried

Fit ok

 The clasp is strong enough that I can’t see it leaking like some of the cheaper alternatives I’ve tried in the past. It’s actually so strong that I was worried I was going to break it opening it because it holds shut so well.  The bag itself is made from a strong feeling fabric with the pattern on the red is great and will add visibility as well. There is a strip with a reflective banner on it at the bottom of the bag that you can use to hang a light from as well if you prefer

  While wearing it, there are two pads that fit in either side of your spine, leaving a gap for airflow in between. This does minimise sweat, but I still find I get a little sweaty in contact points after an hour or so in the sun, though I’m not sure how this could be avoided.  As my first Osprey bag, I’m very pleased with it and would certainly buy from them again.

 I take the reservoir out, just unclipped it and slipped it out of the pocket, and it’s a neat and stylish bag. The bag also has lots of little pockets inside it’s two main zipped compartments that can even fit my iPhone 11 Pro Max in vertically with ease, with two more compartments either side which are surprisingly spacious too. Plenty of room for some lunch and other necessities.  The reservoir is great to add some extra water to trips

  As my first Osprey bag, I’m very pleased with it and would certainly buy from them again.

 The hydration reservoir is only about 1 liter, but that's to be expected. Against the the body, the pack is well-padded and ventilated.  All in all, it's another great pack from Osprey. Recommended

Typically high Osprey quality, and with a lifetime guarantee to boot - how can you beat that? Large and comfortable size, with a wide stance. Built for bikers, its versatility as a hiking, trekking or vacationing pack makes it a valuable addition to my carrying capacity. I'll use this for walking cities, air travel, and any time I need more than just pockets, but less than a full pack. There's plenty of storage, with four external and one internal compartments, including two on the hip belt, and compression straps keep the load close and still

I'd tried a previous version of this and it was grossly underwhelming in its performance. Had hope this would be better, and while it's marginally improved over the previous iteration, it still needs a lot of work. As its predecessor did, this suffers most notably from way too much bounce to use effectively for mountain biking, to the point it's exceedingly annoy. The twin compression straps do little to stabilize and the pack sags out and down too much while riding

Still needs A LOT of work

 This bag lived up to that expectation. The stitching is sturdy and solid. The zipper pull loops make it easy to operate even while wearing gloves.  The mouthpiece and hose are the bare basics

 Of course you wouldn't get accessible hip storage, but again for the size, I'd just as well un-sling it. It probably also doesn't help that I don't have hips. All the weight just wants to slide down the sides.  That being said, I've read about osprey gear and expected some quality craftsmanship
