The comfiest backpack I've ever had. If I'm doing a serious dayhike, this is the bag I'm taking.

Sharing my silly bag problem with my fellow addicts. I gathered up all of my various bags and pouches, and it made me realize how ridiculous things have gotten. Might be time to downsize my collection. Sharing a few of my favorites and will add a full list in the comments.

* Osprey Daylite *PLUS* 20L. * My personal favourite so far, but fitting it in my main bag + all the other gear is my concern.

 This is a zipper front opening. Here, it's just a small pouch. you could put whatever you'd like. two water bottle pouches on the sides, and uh, the water bottle pouches are actually an improvement on this bag from the old Daylight Plus

 I'll go over them here and the bag costs 70 U.s or for me 95 Canadian. And now let's go over the bags. So right on the front here, you can pull open this stretch panel

 Uh, I will see the Daylight is a 13 liter bag. The Daylight Plus is a 20 liter bag. The difference is not just right here, this, uh, opening in the front, but also a couple inches in every direction. The Daylight Plus is actually bigger and I would definitely recommend it

 The Daylight Plus before had water bottle pouches where, uh, they're basically cut down lower like this, causing the water bottles to fall out. And so now on the updated version. They've fixed that and made bigger water bottle sleeves and they stretch open a lot so you can really fit a big bottle in there and one on each side and so that's a nice improvement there. Another difference from the older model is, uh, this zipper here on the front is now horizontal whereas it used to be vertical

Osprey Daylite Plus Backpack Review

 I Like these external Cardinal areas I Like to be able to grab things as I'm hiking. you can see it's not very wide. It says why does the day pack and then a tapers down So it creates this little pocket here but I was able to get a variety of things inside there and so you could take a put a map in there. your sunscreen, lip balm, things like that

 Okay, look at this t-shirt It's upside down, the guy's anticipating or the person, the girl or while we're riding this bike Cepeda A little crash there and they're ready to make sure that their bike is okay. That's pretty funny. Number three, sorry for what I said while we were trying to park the camper her weight the wristlet and this is my experience growing up with my dad backing up our little camper. And yes, totally relate back to Number Three number two

 It's about about half way down the pack here. for this pocket you can see inside here there's two mesh pockets so you're gonna put your keys in here. It does have a key holder right here. put your keys in there

 that's the only thing I could think of to do is to click it and then just secure it down like that and kind of get that out of the way. Well, you can remove this strap. The buckle will stay here, see that the buckle will end up staying on there. That's just the way it's designed, but you can get the strap up if you don't really don't want the strap on

OSPREY Daylite Plus Day Pack REVIEW

-I find the cross straps also annoying, they feel in the way when you're trying to pack things and hurry quickly and I largely use them to secure the water bottle since it falls out due to the instability of this pack but its very annoying to need to clip each time when you're just trying to access the main compartment for your jacket when the stash pocket on front doesn't fit a jacket in the first place

-Laptop compartment is pretty standard and is probably the only thing I'm ok with on this bag 

-The straps and the back are very uncomfortable with any weight exceeding 8 pounds I would say. They are so minimalist that they dig into your shoulder and lack of frame just weighs down on your pack

My least favorite bag I've had from Osprey

 So first off, you've got, of course it's going to be on the other side. You've got a little front pocket on the front. Traditional, you know, hip strap. Should I say just a bit of inch webbing? one inch webbing on there

 which is really, really cool. Anyway, let's take a closer look at the key features. So first off, you've got a nice front pocket on here. It's got a zipper on there, which means whatever you pop in there will stay safe and secure

 Um, there's lots of space inside here using the jelly pouch, the front pocket, the the kind of the front pocket on the top there. and then you've got the main thing there's there's basically there's lots of things you can put in here and organize your kit properly. and the fact that you have compression straps on the side as well means everything's safe and secure. And if you're just after a day bag to go for a hiking trip, so you want to go hiking for the day, you don't necessarily want a massive traditional bag or you want a bag where you can wear it obviously commuting, but also as well you can take it on a hiking adventure

 And so basically this really is ideal if you are carrying slightly heavier loads or if you're backpacking for a long amount of time and you just want to help lift that weight up and make it more comfortable around your hip system. Lift that up, clip that on, tighten now and then. Hey, Presto. It's just going to help alleviate some of that pressure from the overall weight

 It's also means have to keep more things in the main compartment, all jumbled together.  But, if my deal-breakers aren't important to you, it may be a great bag. The straps are well-designed, and the laptop pocket is padded. I've been carrying my laptop in an older Osprey bag which has a very similar pocket without padding (probably not originally designed for a laptop) and I do really like that bag

 Sure, there's two open-top mesh pockets, and the one on the front, but those aren't ideal for many things. If it were meant to be just a hiking pack, I'd forgive the lack of commuter-friendly organizational features, but it's a laptop bag. If I'm carrying a laptop, I probably have other things I'd like to organize - pens, chargers, cables, phone, bandaids, meds, cards. This doesn't have a single place I could put a few business cards or things I'd like to keep flat, and no non-mesh, zippered pockets to protect things I'd like to keep dry & dirt-free

 This pack would've been great, I mean, it's well-constructed, lots of space, some good features. Unfortunately, it's sorely lacking in inner zippered pockets and I have to return it. Sure, there's two open-top mesh pockets, and the one on the front, but those aren't ideal for many things. If it were meant to be just a hiking pack, I'd forgive the lack of commuter-friendly organizational features, but it's a laptop bag

 The straps are well-designed, and the laptop pocket is padded. I've been carrying my laptop in an older Osprey bag which has a very similar pocket without padding (probably not originally designed for a laptop) and I do really like that bag. The stiff-ish foam backing of the pack makes it easier to manage getting the laptop in/out, and also means the bag looks ok and still distributes weight even when I'm only carrying a few small items.  There's also a really excellent lifetime repair/replace guarantee - I'd contacted Osprey about repairing my rather old bag (which they would, or replace if they couldn't) and, though I ultimately decided to just get a new pack, my interaction with their service team left me with a good impression of the company

BUY THIS and let me know if this review is helpful below! I just went to Cambodia and Vietnam for 15 days with just a carry-on roller bag (that I checked) and a backpack. Although I knew this backpack would be comfortable, I was concerned it wouldn't be big enough. I wasn't going to use this bag as a daypack. Instead, I just wanted something that was comfortable to carry things from one place to the other

 Overall: It is an okay day pack for hiking. And will continue to use it until I find something with the Futures I'm looking for. Don't let my review scare you though. Picture shows mesh pocket with only a 20oz smartwater bottle in it

 Sternum straps extremely long with no way to keep them from flopping all over your chest. (I used small pieces of Velcro to secure them. Overall: It is an okay day pack for hiking. And will continue to use it until I find something with the Futures I'm looking for

Pros: Very well ventilated shoulder straps and backing. Sleek design with nice cinch straps. Nice size main compartment and mid pocket. Zippers don't snag and seem of very good quality with pull attachments on each zipper(very nice not chintzy)
