* **Good back support / comfy shoulder straps** : I already struggle with back problems scoliosis and when I travel or hike, I tend to walk a lot. So my number one priority for this bag pack is comfort and support.

* Lightweight/Not too heavy : As a continuation of comfort, it would be nice if it’s not too heavy.

* Laptop space : Even if I end up not using the bag for work, I’ll definitely bring my laptop with me wherever I go so it would be helpful to have a dedicated space.

More importantly, it’s unclear to me which one is best for good back support and comfort.

Bought this for my new 2021 MacBook pro 16''. Very impressive. The first is the soft strips, which make my shoulder very comfortable. The second is the large laptop bag, which to be honest is the most important reason I order it

 It isn’t going to match a dedicated hiking backpack with frame sheet, padded waist belt, sternum strap, etc. for carrying hugely heavy loads, but it won’t cause any suffering commuting with a laptop and daily essentials. The bag itself also feels lightweight.  I love that the laptop sleeve is suspended well above the bottom of the backpack, reducing the chances of banging your computer if you accidentally set your bag down harder than intended

 A lot of people doing reviews on their backpacks and the tents and such, but not a lot of info for the things that they would need to use. So I kind of had to blindly pick something to see if it worked. and so I want to share our experiences with one of the pieces of gear that I picked out for the rugged. Mountain Mister So one of the best places to find out exactly what you might want to get was we went to REI and there you're able to try on different things and actually put weight in the backpacks

 When I started looking for gear uh, to be able to do this backpacking thing, one of the biggest challenges was Finding good information on the gear for the kids. It just wasn't a lot out there. A lot of people doing reviews on their backpacks and the tents and such, but not a lot of info for the things that they would need to use. So I kind of had to blindly pick something to see if it worked

 at least that's one thing. I Hate Yeah. Rockmart Misters always had issues getting his uh water bottle to stay on and stay comfortable while he's hiking and have it accessible here in the front instead of trying to pull it out of the pouches that are on his back. All right, Well, that's about it

 A lot of the problems are related to weight savings, which makes sense for a hiking like day pack.

 The water bottle spots on the sides are big and can be tightened, very nice. Even that front netting is useful sometimes.  But I don't really hike, I bought the pack as a daily driver and it's not suited. The pack just isn't robust enough, but then it's a little too tall so it flops over when you set it down

 He'S got two water bottles on the pack right now. These are fully adjustable, both top and bottom two side hit pockets which we love. We'Ve got a pocket knife and one over here and what's in the other one, a snack in the other one, so these fit a granola bar almost perfectly so those are really nice turn these on the back. We'Ve got two side: pockets they've got elastic at the top, so they really hold water bottles in nice and well, even these nice, big ones that we have there are adjustable side, strap so, depending on how much you have in the bag, you can tighten and loosen Those as needed so that it has a nice snug fit on the child back pocket

 I would like to talk about some of the features i don't like on here um. I wish this was more of a elastic stretch bag so that if we had wet gear we could strap it on there and it would air out better and then up here at the neck. We find that as they get older and they get a little broader. These straps get really close to their neck and can start to rub so definitely a pack we recommend for under age 10, if you have a child who's on the larger side or the broader side, probably closer to age

It was really good um and I think, because the straps are adjustable and cuz, I don't want to be lugging up a really steep hill and doesn't use bringing me back and it just easier to have a part of my body and just all that and the Pressure straps these things, these they keep your pack, oh yeah, yeah yeah. Plus, our last trip, my daughter took an older model Half Dome pack that was not a perfect fit but a great size capacity for her gear. This one was too small for that same amount of weight/gear. Maybe we just need to get her smaller gear tho.

 My sons pack fit him great and he is an average size in all ways for a 7yo. My daughter's was a little snug. She is also average in all ways for 9yo size. 

Fit is important!

  The clerk who assisted me said that it was okay to put my stuff in the pack and put it on, and that clinched the deal for me.  I was concerned about a weight limit but she also weighed the pack and said that it's 12 pounds, no problem.

Wish I had an Adult version

I bought this backpack for my 5 year old son who I plan to take on a couple of overnight hiking trips this summer.  The pack is well-made, has good features, and best of all, fits him well.  It's not big, but big enough for him to carry a few things and should fit until he's strong enough to carry more.

 It has plenty of pockets and storage. The main pocket is large and has a place to hand a water bladder. There are plenty of little storage places around the pack to put all the gear I would need for most outings. I like the way it fit and it was easy to adjust to fit my shoulders and waist
