I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

 I've also recently tried the Wet n Wild one and that one has a horrendous smell and it kind of feels thick and like hairspray on your face. This one, this smell, it's got this tiny scent but it's nothing crazy and it doesn't really feel too crazy when it dries down. It doesn't feel like sticky or heavy or anything. So you can just set it and forget it

 This is the side that doesn't have it. And I do tell myself I like to use it just so it takes down a little bit of the powderiness, which I think is legitimate. I've also recently tried the Wet n Wild one and that one has a horrendous smell and it kind of feels thick and like hairspray on your face. This one, this smell, it's got this tiny scent but it's nothing crazy and it doesn't really feel too crazy when it dries down

 On my face today, I just applied my makeup. I'm wearing the Guerlain Lore Primer. And then on top of that I have my Revlon Colorstay. I didn't powder everywhere

NYX Matte Setting Spray 12hr Wear Test & Review | CORRIE V

 Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Today I'm going to be checking out the NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray.

 This setting spray is supposed to increase the longevity of your makeup.

 It's a 60ml bottle and I think I bought it for about maybe 10 to 12 Canadian dollars.

 Just at Shoppers Drug Mart as you can see.

 The sticker covers up some of the information.

 But basically you spray it onto your face about 30cm away from your face.

 And they also have one in a dewy finish.

 I've pretty much used up all of this. I have just a tiny little bit left at the bottom.

 So I was really excited to try this out and see if it makes any difference on either side of my face.

 On my face today, I just applied my makeup. I'm wearing the Guerlain Lore Primer.

 And then on top of that I have my Revlon Colorstay.

 I didn't powder everywhere. I used my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder just under my eyes, on my chin, on top of my cheeks.

 And between my brows to kind of set any like trouble spots.

 And then on my cheeks of course I'm using my Too Faced Love Flush in Baby Love.

 I'm going to apply this to half of my face and we will see after 12 full hours if it looks any different from the other side of my face with some check-ins in between.

 In terms of application, it's really nice and easy to use. The spray on the mixture is very nice.

 It definitely doesn't get too chunky or too dewy. I'm pretty sure you can't tell any difference between the two sides of my face.

 Other than the fact that this one's still drying down. This is the side that has it. This is the side that doesn't have it.

 I'm looking a little greasy on this side. Well, all over. So, it's now like 6 o'clock. I don't think there's any difference in either side of my face.

 So, I'm going to see if this actually does any mattifying or if it's just like, they don't say to reapply it throughout the day, but why not?

 Can I paint? Or are we going to the library and I draw?

 It feels the same. It doesn't feel any less greasy. I asked Doug. He said this side looked more greasy. I don't know. Maybe it's just because it was drying.

 Because I don't know what I'm talking about.

 But yeah, I don't think it's going to like matte you throughout the day. But anyway, let's just keep going and see what it looks like at the end of the day.

 Alright guys, so it's the end of the night and here is how my skin is looking.

 I did retouch up the set side of my face around six-ish.

 And I honestly don't think it made too much of a difference.

 In fact, it might have just made it slightly greasier. I don't know.

 I don't think it made any type of like re-matifying effect.

 I think it's literally just to set your makeup, not to touch up or anything.

 I'm going to quickly blot and see if there's any difference on either side of my face.

 I honestly don't feel that greasy. So I don't think we're going to see too much.

 So this is the side with the spray. This is the side without.

 And actually the side without is quite a bit greasier, I think.

 So maybe there is more oil on the non-sprayed side.

 Either way, it doesn't feel like too much of a difference.

 So if I were to rate this product, I would probably still give it a good four out of five.

 I think it's a little bit nicer than the Wet n Wild Setting Spray.

 I don't think it really increases the longevity of your makeup.

 My foundation and everything still looks good.

 But I don't think it really increases the performance.

 I think the main reason that I like setting sprays is just after I powdered everywhere,

 just to take down some of that powderiness and kind of make your skin look more realistic

 and nice if you went a little crazy with the powder.

 It feels really nice. Maybe it gives you a nice placebo effect.

 But aside from that, I don't know. They're kind of useless.

 I've had a lot of weird luck with primers and setting sprays.

 But I oftentimes do skip a primer and I rarely skip a setting spray.
