I've had the NordicTrack "Commercial" 1750 treadmill now for just over a year and wanted to write a quick review. My TL;DR is: purchase a different treadmill and stay away from NordicTrack. The basics are there - it (currently) works, it turns on, connects to iFit, you can walk/run on it, move the incline, all of that basic stuff. But it hasn't been a great treadmill, and I would purchase another kind of treadmill were I to make that decision today

I bought a Nordictrack commercial 1750 around Christmas time and I absolutely love it. I’m not a ‘new’ runner but I’m getting a ton out of some of the iFit programs.

I used to run about 30 miles a week.  About a year ago, we had to move for my job and unfortunately moved to a neighborhood that isn't runner friendly.  Between the move, COVID, new job, etc., I haven't ran in over a year.  I'm really missing it and wanting to get back into it, but my neighborhood really isn't conducive to running.

I'd like to get a treadmill, but am not sure where to start.  I know it's not the same as running outside, but it's better than nothing.  Do you guys have any recommendations?  Or know of any good websites where I can research treadmills?

Treadmill Recommendations

  I've never, I mean NEVER write reviews on products and I felt the need to do so after what I've experienced to date with Nordictrack - simply is the worst.  Please take my advice and purchase other manufacturer equipment - anything else will be better.   I will be finding as many places to post this review to as I can't believe how bad of an experience this has been after spending the amount of money we did on this equipment.

We renovated our home gym and 12 months ago bought a Commercial 2950 Treadmill and 6 months ago a RW900 Rower - Nearly $7,000 worth of equipment.  To date - the treadmill I've had to replace the motherboard not once, but twice, a wiring harness, the entire walking deck, and now its borken AGAIN and the 'fix' is to replace the motor now and the motherboard for a 3rd time

 I'm a very handy person, and replacing the deck alone was a 4-5 hour process.  I wish I knew how bad these machines are, they should not be allowed to be on the market.   Now iFit is pretty good but there are a few things that seem to be developing pretty slowly on their end. They finally were able to add support for bluetooth headphones a couple of weeks ago which I can't imagine why it would take so long for such a basic feature. My biggest wish is that they would integrate with other aggregators (google fit, fitbit, apple, anything) as well as have Spotify or other music integrations on the console. In their defense they do not state that this is a feature and I purchased the treadmill without any promise that this would be done

 Also check that the belt is properly centered after running on it for a few minutes. Mine was not after assembly and the belt tore slightly. I removed the tear and all the strings that came out and wrapped around the rollers. After that it was super easy to center and has stayed centered since

 In the absence of any integrations they should at least open up their API so others could write integrations for them(I know there is an API in place and I know that it does store all the data from my workouts). That being said, the workouts with trainers are pretty great and the feature to create your own routes with google maps is good. I haven't had any issues with the videos and/or the google maps feature. The deck is pretty wide and roomy

Also, I was able to get Customer Service pretty quickly and they shipped a new belt to me for free. I have left the old one on for now since the tear is pretty small

 I see this as a positive, as it appears to be a solid unit and not flimsy at all. Assembling it was pretty straight forward though it was a bit hard to line up the grip bars and the console. Even so I was still able to get it together with the help of one more person as they suggest. There were 2 screws in the side bars that I was not able to get in but there are 3 others holding them in place and it seems fine (now 2 months after assembling it)

Great Treadmill the software is good too, just wish they had a few more integrations

 Ifit would be cool tho. Belt needs to be at least 20x60. I am 6 foot 230lbs and plan on mostly walking, some jogging and some HIIT.

 Anyway they really only had to leave it on the curb so I'm glad they got it into the garage.  So we popped the box open after they left and all seemed to look good. This is HEAVY and a pain to move as was indicated by the machine lift only sticker. When you get it out of the box I suggest installing the piston first so you can roll it to where you want in the house without needing a high school lifting team to assist

That way the deck is locked up and you can just wheel it around. Also take into account where you want it first because this thing will not fit through a standard door without some creative sideways sliding action

  Finally, here is my biggest grip. The description on Amazon sucks so if you go to the Nordictrack page or any reviewer of the 2019 version of the 1750 you will see that this treadmill is supposed to include the tablet holder and a chest strap heart rate monitor. Nordictrack advised me today that the version that is indistinguishable via model number and is sold by Amazon does not include either of these items. I was PISSED to say the least as this is really shady

Good treadmill but there are caveats

 Still haven't heard from them. Calls and emails, just go ignored. After spending 2k plus, disappointing to say the least.

 You have quite a few options as far as being able to change the settings through the Polylens software. The tracking uh was spot on and you can actually change the speed of how fast it tracks you back and forth, but I thought it did a very good job considering it has one lens and you know it. panned, tilt and zoom quickly and got it onto the speaker. Got the focus onto the speaker which I really appreciate as far as having a video conference and it if it's just one view that looks really zoomed back, it's hard to communicate clearly
