Updating a top-selling model is risky business, but we think Nordica nailed last year’s revamp of the Enforcer line. The mid-width “94,” which replaced the outgoing 93-millimeter ski, is our favorite of bunch thanks to its sturdy yet fun personality. In testing the ski, one standout trait we kept coming back to was its natural and predictable performance. From the very first run, we felt completely comfortable: the ski is surprisingly easy to turn, excels at a range of speeds, and hits a sweet spot in width for true coast-to-coast appeal. The Nordica Enforcer 94 is our favorite ski for carving and ranks well overall in our all-mountain lineup. The Enforcer 94's Carbon Chassis and TWO Sheets of metal combine to create our favorite blend of edge grip, rebound, and overall precision while carving at higher speeds. Coming in at a versatile turn radius of 17.1 meters, we found it intuitive in shorter SL and longer GS turns. While the Enforcer is ideal for carving on the groomers, it also provides excellent versatility across the mountain in all snow conditions.
The adjustments made for the 2021-2022 model include Nordica's Carbon Chassis and True Tip technologies. Along with a slightly wider 94-millimeter waist width, the Enforcer 94 gains slightly better off-piste performance than its predecessor's 93-millimeter width underfoot. Despite these improvements, this ski can be challenging to pilot through heavy or deep powder. Skiers spending lots of time in softer or deeper snow may be better suited with a ski that is wider. But for the more experienced skier looking to tip and rip across most snow conditions, look no further than the Enforcer 94.

 I mean it's a similar conversation that would course ends further into the tip, replaces ABS, plastic material which sheds weight and, I think, probably more noticeably sheds weight, because it's more swing weight, that's at the ends of the ski, so sheds weight and then that that wood Up there actually kind of improves torsional stiffness over the ABS material yeah, and it's kind of like bikes with spinning weight. So when you put it all to the end of the ski it does, you know it's kind of hard where how to know when to separate the marketing from the actual manufacturing and right?  Does everything really well yeah, but I like that there are three options right, because then you can really pick which one's right for you yeah. You can fine-tune it for sure right, but I would you know, and then I'd add onto that, that if you're, if you want to buy one of those three skis and that's going to be your daily driver, you could make an argument that this is the most Well, rounded, yeah, cuz 94 is still pretty quick edge to edge, and then you still get a pretty good float, yeah, so great ski anything that you want to add that you want to know. I mean just that just like to echo what you're saying it doesn't seem to get caught in the middle. It kind of creates its own little home right

The Volkl Yumi 84 is a great frontside all-mountain ski for lightweight skiers, or skiers with a more conservative ski style. Built with a similar profile to its bigger sister, the Kenja 88, this ski features Volkl’s Frame Construction, but instead of a Titanal frame, this one receives a Fiberglass frame. This helps bring the weight of the ski down while still providing good torsional stiffness for solid edge hold and overall stability. The glass frame also gives the ski a very snappy and energetic feel. Running through the center of the ski is a Titanal band for added vibration and stability. At 84 millimeters under the boot, the Yumi 84 provides great performance on trial, but it allows for plenty of versatility to get off the groomers and into the bumps and trees. In fact, thanks to how light the ski is, it is impeccably maneuverable in technical terrain and sure makes a great bump ski. The Yumi 84 also features a fairly elongated rocker profile which really adds to its overall user friendliness and versatility. Not only does this rocker help provide a little bit of float when things get soft, but it allows the ski to pivot very easily for effortless short radius turns. The Yumi 84 is ultimately a very approachable ski that offers a lot of value in a well-balanced package. Low end intermediates to advanced skier that might not prefer top-end speeds would really enjoy the quickness and energy of the Volkl Yumi 84.

 Under the foot they use a teat mill band right there just for binding retention which also helps with that stability right when you're on edge underneath the foot. Shape of the ski they have a great all-mountain shape. They use their 3D radius which basically means that wherever you're flexing this ski on edge it's going to hold that edge so if you like to make larger turns it's going to have a longer effective edge or if you like to make slalom turns it's going to have that shorter effective edge and be a smooth ride. They also have tip and tail rise a little just slightly in there and basically because it's an all mountain it's a little bit more of the front side when we're talking about an 84 under waist but that tip and tail rise is going to help you get into the turn a little bit easier and fight through the crud when the snow is being pushed around later in the day

 Without the metal in the ski it's definitely a little bit more approachable than the Kendra in the Secret so it's going to be geared towards a high intermediate skier someone who knows how to link their turns or maybe even an intermediate that's getting a little bit better and wants something that's precise and stable underneath their feet but is still going to be light and not as fatiguing throughout the day as something that's a little bit more powerful like the Kendra. I would take it mainly in the resort at 84. You're still going to be able to have fun in the woods and the bumps with the lightweight construction but it's definitely not meant for the powder. It's narrow under the waist but it's going to be a great ski to link your turns and really get to be a better skier on the mountain

 I've talked about it beginner to advanced but where are you going to take this ski? It's mainly a resort ski but what's great about the that 3D radius is that you can take it into the woods if you want a little off piste. It's got nice tip and tail rocker that if you get into the crud a little bit of powder you're going to get that little float right over that powder and be able to manage it and especially if you get a shorter length for you that woods and those bumps are going to be so much fun you're going to really feel the energy that comes out of the ski. If you hit a little bit of crud it's going to bounce right over that and you're not going to feel it under your legs. Pretty lightweight ski for an all mountain ski. You know at the 161 length it comes in at 1400 grams
