 Hello snowboarders of the internet. I'm your host Averin LaFever and in this video, we're going to be reviewing the nitro team Snowboard this board features nitro's true camber, which is just good old-fashioned traditional camber So from contact point to contact point you have that arc of traditional camber That's going to give you all the load pop snap and drive out of this board. This board is available in 152 155 157 159 162 157 wide 159 wide 162 wide 165 wide I wrote this board at Arapahoe Basin on a sunny bluebird day with warm temps There was slush chopped chunder frozen corduroy of doom perfect corduroy And I wrote it with my Rome black label bindings and my K2 thoraxis boots So the overall flex of this board comes in just a hair past middle of the road all mountain freestyle That just makes it a little bit stiffer You do have more flex in the tip of the tail for about two inches back from the contact point That's where the sweet spot is then it stiffens up through the middle the torsional flex is there But it's not overly abundant for the most part. This board is moderately stable you will get chatter in the tips and you'll feel it slightly resonate back under foot and When you get into rutted out terrain, it pretty much plows or pushes through everything with its path Unless you take one of those really hard jarring hits to your body Then you might get bucked around but for the most part this board has enough flex and bend to either contour with it or push Through it because of the power of the way it's designed with this board having traditional camber You do have to load it up and then roll back on the tail and get it to snap and you're gonna pop It's consistently snappy, but it's not overly poppy

We're like, holy crap I'm going to the moon with this It's more or less that you hit it you pop you're good and you're gonna be able to get up on or over Anything in your path when it comes to jumps I didn't get to hit anything bigger than what can best be described as the most horrible schmedium jump in the world But this board is fully at home on jumps

 It's got a good snap good edge hold it carves Well, it pops well it butters. Okay, it jibs Okay, you don't have to worry about it And after riding the pro version of the team which just has a little more snap and rebound I actually prefer this one. It's just a little bit more consistent in my mind and it works Well comparable boards the battalion fun kink the Jones Mountain twin the Solomon assassin binding Recommendations the nitro team Pro the Solomon hologram the battalion blaster. The 2023 Nitro Team Snowboard Review

 It's just a fun, edge-to-edge, all-mountain sidecut. Has our Powerlite Core, which is a tip-to-tail poplar wood core made out of the lightest, the best grade poplar wood on the market, super lightweight and very responsive. It has a reflex core profile, which means the board is milled out so it's skinnier in between the bindings here, allowing for more torsional flex, making it easier for you to initiate turns and power out of them, and also allowing you to do a normal nose press. It's not going to look like you're doing some weird 50-50 leaning forward, or you're doing a full-on nose press, you're not going to fold over the front

 It has a reflex core profile, which means the board is milled out so it's skinnier in between the bindings here, allowing for more torsional flex, making it easier for you to initiate turns and power out of them, and also allowing you to do a normal nose press. It's not going to look like you're doing some weird 50-50 leaning forward, or you're doing a full-on nose press, you're not going to fold over the front. This year, as you can see, we don't have the shiny topsheet anymore because any kind of high-gloss topsheet is actually really bad for the environment, so throughout the whole Nitro line, we have reduced using this technology and moved to more of a more matte finish. It's just a more environmentally-friendly way to make the boards, and this year the team has this nice brush finish as well

 But if you're looking for something a little more playful, a little more fun in the powder, I would highly recommend the Gullwing Camber. The Gullwing is Gullwing Rocker's reverse camber in between the bindings like this and standard camber underfoot, making this type of shape, right? The reverse camber in between the bindings allows for a more playful ride, more float in the powder, it's easier to butter on, easier to do nose presses on, and basically just more forgiving. The standard camber under the feet give you the support and response you need so you don't just wash out on everything. It's a really fun, playful camber profile that a lot of people like

2021 Nitro Team Snowboard Review

 Riding Switch didn't feel any different to me than riding regular, I don't think most people would be able to notice a difference. Overall, the Nitro Team is an easy board to recommend. I think it has almost a perfect balance of features. The camber gives it a very solid, stable feel, has plenty of pop and it holds a good edge in all conditions without feeling catchy

The Good Ride

 Yo Kevin where are we lapping right now? Yeah doing laps in the medium park here at Parishard. Got these classic light blue Parishard tubes and rails. Let's go hit some. Let's do it

 It makes it a little bit slower edge to edge but it does give you more of a platform to balance on on these rail features. That combined with the flat camber profile is actually making it feel really good on these rails. Got a bunch more laps to go. Let's keep lapping through this rail line here

 Oh and the last little bonus is it's got kind of a matte top sheet so you really don't need a stomp pad. The war pig is definitely not a beginner board it's going to be more for intermediate to more advanced riders and I think it's more for someone looking for like a one board solution an all mountain kind of snowboard it's definitely still fun in the park if you want to take some laps through there but I think the real strength on this board is going to be for carving and exploring the mountain and even taking it into powder so if you're looking for one snowboard that's going to offer all that performance for you check out the ride war pig. Ride Warpig Snowboard Review 2020

The Warpig is flat-to-rocker, a Superpig is proper camber and would carve better. As I get older, I’m not a fan of the Ride/LibTech graphics… And gravitate more towards Jones and Arbor’s style of being more understated.
