The lack of any wireless function keeps the gamepad's price low, and ensures an easy, tethered connection to any Xbox One or Windows 7, 8, or 10 PC. When plugged in, the gamepad registers as an Xbox One-style XInput controller, which most modern PC games can immediately handle without configuration.

I would pay $50 max since this thing is prone to stick drift and its essentially inevitable. Conclusion: Don't get this controller unless you are a die-hard fan of Nintendo. Opt for the 8BitDo Pro 2 or even better the Gullikit King Kong 2 Pro which can wake your switch up from sleep and it promises no stick drift. Or, you can wait for the 8BitDo Ultimate to release at the same price point (it also comes with a charging dock)

This controller is great. I am a real human that owns and plays with this controller. That's the TLDR you're looking for. I've used this for 2-3 hours 5 days a week for the past month and a half on Apex Legends, Warzone, and Elden Ring

If however, you intend to get games like Splatoon, Fortnite, Mario Kart, fast paced games like that, or if you have large hands that would make the JoyCons miserable, then you are gonna need this controller or a strong cheap alternative.

For example, when playing Forza Horizon 4, there are instances when I can’t even turn the car. I suppose it’s possible you may not experience this issue, but I would recommend that you invest some more money and buy a higher quality controller.

I gave my testing a whirl on Zelda: Breath of the Wild and was able to at for 4 straight hours without any hand cramping or having to charge the battery.

Surprisingly this had joycon analog stick drift right out of the box. It took several calibrations and powering my switch on and off several times before it started working consistently. I bought this because my existing joycons were drifting and I thought "Well, the PRO controller won't do that, right?" Yeah, no. Nintendo's build quality is still a bit suspect

I bought this controller because my previous controller stopped working on me out of nowhere and I needed a new controller as quickly and cheaply as possible and for 30 bucks this controller looks and feels extremely nice but after a few days of using it I started noticing a issue with the left trigger button whenever I press down on it there's a huge delay for when I press it versus when the game responds to my input it stills works fine but I don't see this being my go to controller this is a really good controller for the price but don't except it to be your permanent controller

I bought this to upgrade from my generic knock off Switch controller and I'm disappointed. This one is too touchy. It feels good. It's nice and hefty but when I try to use it the controls are too touchy

I still like the controller and it's my go-to over my OEM Xbox controllers for single player games because it is just so comfortable to use, and everything else about it works right. It's just a shame that the headset clicking issue and random disconnection keep it from being perfect. I'd still recommend it with reservations given my mostly positive experience.

I bought a pro controller in May of 2020, and the R button is having issues that I haven't been able to fix. With my issues with my pro controller and all the issues I've heard about joycons, I'm hesitant to buy another Nintendo brand controller. In an unwise decision to try to save money, I tried 2 different really cheap (essentially no brand) switch controllers, but one just felt way too cheap and one doesn't stay connected. So no luck there

I've had some companies cause nothing but grief trying to have them honor a warranty, so I really appreciate when the process is made so easy for me on my end.

*What I didn't like*: I was going to say something about the cost of this controller, But after a quick search of XBox and Playstation controllers, I see that it is directly in line with the competition. So it’s a little high, but so are all the other options. *The Bottom Line:* This is, without exception, the most comfortable way to play games on the Switch. It may be on the spendier side, but the comfort, battery life, and ease of use make it a no-brainer for people who spend a lot of time with their Switch docked

A few months ago I bought this controller to replace another controller from Easy SMX (Another good controller for the most part) and to be honest I really like it. Buttons don't stick, joysticks work great and they don't slip from my thumbs. I've used it to play Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak, Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, Valfaris, Huntdown, Blasphemous, King of Fighters 2002, Dead by Daylight and Skullgirls and it controls smoothly. Granted I haven't used it for an FPS or TPS that requires a lot of precision but from Monster Hunter I haven't felt like I'm fighting the controller at all
