I think the Nike Renew Elevate is a great starter shoe. $80 before any sale prices is a nice entry level price.

Details: I’m mid 20’s, 5 foot 10, beginner player. Ground I’m playing is often wet and slightly muddy from people walking mud into the court.

I’ve been wearing some standard trainers but think they’re quite flat and the arches of my feet are hurting a bit. Not great for jumping in! (I don’t really hurt my arches doing much else, so don’t think I have flat feet)

Aiming to look for something not too flashy, if that exists aha

I’m looking for some understated shoes to wear outdoors, any suggestions?

 Uh, as far as responsiveness goes though, I didn't feel super quick in it right just because of like, not as good support, especially on lateral containment. My foot was moving around inside of the shoe a little bit as well just because it is a little bit wider than I would like. And also the traction isn't top topped here, right? It's a solid traction though, but it's not topped here. So because of those reasons, I didn't feel as responsive as uh, like a shoe

 and when I was switching into those, I was like yo, this is a lot nicer. I was having better bites and I didn't have to wipe as often, so that was just like something that I noticed. And of course it wasn't annoying when I was playing the Renewal Elevate just because you know I'm I'm used to wiping, but when I switched the shoes, I was like yo yo, This is so much better. I definitely did notice a difference there, right? All right

 Especially comparing it to like a stiff sole shoe, right? So there's that. Moving on to the cushioning setup, we have full length Renew right? And I'm guessing it is dual density just like in the Renew Elevate One and two, Uh, just because of the different pattern right on the actual midsole. And it's like a different color as well. but that's a that's nice to see as well, right? Uh, so there's that

 Which again sucks because I really love how the upper on these guys feel Okay, like the upper. The weight it just hugs your feet is very nice. Um, and I have to express that out loud because the other two budget models that I had with Nike weren't going with my size weren't giving me the support I needed on the upper. This one does

 Absolutely supportive and comfortable at the same time. If you want to get this, uh, get this in. a true to size wide footers may want to go up half a size, but um, regular footers or narrow footers stick true to size with this one. Like this one is really good

Bought the Space Jam themed ones but size 10 was really tight it felt like a 9.5 so deff size .5 up or a full size if you have wide feet !!!!   I ordered 10.5 and 11 to try em out and return the other one because of this issue !!!

So far Jordan Max Aura 3 and Nike PG5 have caught my attention (these shoes represent the style I like pretty well). Overall I am looking for a well-rounded budget (cca 100e) shoe. Looking for budget outdoors shoes.

 You know, it has a very high heel tab. The tongue opens up a lot. just slide your foot in, tighten up the laces and you're good to go. Also in this colorway, I like the laces, you know? Uh, we have a black laces with some green with some infrared stitching on it, which is a nice little touch

 How does it feel on my wood floors? It feels really, really nice. So how does the stop feel? It feels really, really good. It pretty much stops on a dime on my wood floors and uh, there's no squeak which sucks and so I feel like this is gonna be one of those silent traction patterns. And that's what the Spawn the original Spawn was

 but then in their ball shoes it's super stiff right? But then no. in the Spawn 3, it's really really soft. You know there's a good amount of compression, especially underneath your foot and it feels really soft underneath your foot. You know, like I feel like underfoot cushioning is going to be really good

 But let's get it. Started off with the trashiones. So the traction pattern is pretty interesting. We got three X's one here in the forefoot, one here in the midfoot, and one here in the heel

UA Spawn 3 First Impressions!

Traction: the next best thing, the Spawn 3 has nicely spaced grooves and a softer rubber compound that offers AMAZING grip on my wood and tile flooring. i don’t expect it to last outdoors though, seeing that it’s actually really soft. the stop isn’t SUPER hard, and is still friendly on the knees and joints. i had no slipping whatsoever, even when i intentionally spilt dust on the floor so i could test that

 Uh, and it's a really, really responsive shoe. Like I said, the traction is really good, cushion is responsive, it's supportive, and the fit is good so my foot isn't like moving anywhere inside the shoe. Lock down was good and all that. So uh yeah, you feel very quick and light on your feet when you're playing this all right

 I cannot believe how like thin this upper is. It does feel a little bottom heavy, but that's okay. Uh, and it's a really, really responsive shoe. Like I said, the traction is really good, cushion is responsive, it's supportive, and the fit is good so my foot isn't like moving anywhere inside the shoe

 Uh, it has a little bit of an outsole curvature guys. Uh, if you guys see, the outsole comes up a lot here on the medial side. So if you're doing like crossovers and stuff like that and you do this type of movement a lot while doing that, then you're good to go. You know you have the rubber outsole coming up a lot for extra added grip and you have all it curves up a little bit here

 but it's still really nice and I appreciate that. uh, that they added that here in the spawn. three. As far as the durability goes, the durability seems okay

UA Spawn 3 Performance Review!

right now i have the Spawn 3s, KD13, Zoom BB NXT (just because its comfy), Kobe 4 and Curry 8.

Basically the title, thought it was interesting to hear what everyones go-to is.

Mine are the Jordan 35s and the Kyrie 7, only used them indoors and they perform really well for me, even though the durability doesnt seem that great on the 35s.

YOUR favourite basketball shoe right now?

  Grip is amazing shoe!  Cushion is perfect - not too firm, not too soft.  Feels good all over my foot.  It's LOW, but I'm okay with low-tops and haven't even noticed it while playing.  I've put in some hours on the court with these shoes and so far, they're killing it!  I'm trying to find another pair somewhere!  love these!
