Plus, it’s a pain that I have to take the SD card out & delete locked videos on my computer because it’s too hard to try and do it from the camera. Save yourself the money, find a different dash cam because I do NOT recommend this one until they start making them compatible with their own app & also any brand of SD card. It’s too late to return mine now, which I should have done after my car was hit & no footage exists, but regrets happen

I watch the battery drain double digits, AS I SIT THERE LOOKING AT IT, DURING THE CAMERA'S OWN SHUT-DOWN PROCESS, EVERY TIME. And on those rare occasions where I remove the camera from the car, I have to be strategic and plan ahead, because I know that I will have, at best, maybe 60 seconds to do what I need to do with the camera before the battery fails

Nice dash cam in all ways except one. The camera's battery is indefensible. Being installed in my car, as dash cams are, the camera is plugged in almost all the time, and hence has a fully charged battery almost all the time, as normal. Every time I turn my car off, the camera does it's little shut-down process, part of which is that the touchscreen automatically comes on for several seconds

 The only condition where you will see quality degradation is when the sun is directly reaching the lens but even in that condition the A129 Pro Duos is doing well. With 4K the amount of details visible is much higher than 1080p and also thanks to the high bitrate you will need an SD card which is as large as possible and make sure to get something decent so that it wouldn't fail too soon. Thanks to the rather narrow optics there aren't too many distortions and this is less annoying than on cheaper dash cams. On the first sight the low light footage seemed a little overexposed to me, something which is also the case with my primary dash camera, the BlackVue DR900S but reviewing the files on the PC makes me feel comfortable because despite the poor lighting and the 4K sensor, the camera retains very good amount of details even when it is complete darkness

 And if you're worried about safety when you're not around the car and the dash cam being too attractive for robbers, you can easily unmount and take it with you. But that counts only for the front module. And also if positioned properly, you could use the rear module and its live feed on the display as parking surveillance. Let's talk about performance now, daytime videos are simply superb, almost no matter the amount of light, should it be rain or sunshine or fog, we've had a lot of fog and smoke lately

 Some people have the hard wired kit and say they can look through the dashcam when the car is off, but I can't confirm/deny that because I do not have the hardwire kit. I will take a battery pack with me and use it whenever I park in the city if I want to be extra cautious.  Audio: Worth a mention, the microphone used in this product is pretty good. It picks up the higher notes of music, so if you have a bass heavy sound system, you are still able to hear, and wont get drowned out by the bass

 The rear dashcam is unfortunately 1920 by 1080p, and does not have the best bitrate in my opinion. This is probably to save space on the card, but for $250, you have to cut corners somewhere.  I will section off this review by going over the front and rear dashcams, but let me start off by saying I have 5% tint all around, and 70% tint in the front windshield. Also, Ive driven for about 90 minutes of footage now and I have used up 40GB worth of footage

 I run my dashcam on the highest resolution on both cameras, and the highest bitrate on both cameras, sectioned off into 1 minute clips, both front in rear. The dashcam sections these off into numbers, for example: "20200818_101037R". These break down into the following: 2020 - year, 08 - month. 18 - day, _ - separates the day with the exact time, 10- military hours, 10 - 10 mins, 37 - 37 seconds into the minute, R/F - Rear camera and Front camera respectively

You will have to check your car for the right size fuse taps

 When installing take a black sharpie or some kind of marker and under the red plastic that you peel off to stick the cameras on the windshields you will see a white strip, color this black first, lest you have a white line you will clearly see through your window. This strip is there to make peeling off the red plastic easy its not sticky where its white. You can guess how I know this.  Next tip you will need to buy more stuff or will want to

 When trying to keep the dash cam up and out of my view, the only good spot I could mount the camera also happened to be right behind my rear view mirror. While this doesn't completely limit my ability to adjust the rear view mirror, if the unit were 1-2mm thinner then it would be a non-issue. Small complaint for an otherwise great dash cam for the price.

Great little set, but could be a bit bulky for your car.
