I’m about to try the New Balance Two WXY. I got an amazing deal. Bought 3 pairs for $150 in the NB store. They are known for being very durable outdoor shoe to ball in! Can’t beat that deal!

I’m looking into buying some shoes that I would strictly use for outdoor courts.  I have a normal sized foot/width and wouldn’t be playing more than twice a week.

I have only purchased indoor shoes back in the high school &amp; aau days and almost always got Nikes.

Any suggestions would help

Outdoor Shoe Recommendations

New Balance Two Wxy. Highly underrated shoe. I’m 6’2 and weigh 215, so I understand the need for impact support and ankle support.

What’s the best hoop shoe I can get performance wise for 150$ or less that can support a bigger guy? For reference, I’m around 195lbs and muscular but only about 5’7”. Looking for impact absorption and ankle support mainly. Bonus points if they’re also stylish!

What shoe should I get?

Took delivery of my first pair of New Balance kicks this week, the Two Wxy in the Spurs Fiesta colourway. Comfy fit and good feel, looking forward to giving them a proper turn in the coming weeks.

Hi guys so I have the Zoom Freak 2 which is more than a year old now and I'm surprised of how everytime I play basketball the performance just keeps getting better. For the first 1-3 months I didn't like playing in them, to the point where I bought 2 other shoes just so I won't have to play in the Freaks everytime. The traction was ok, the fit (I went True-to-size) was very tight and it was hurting my foot, but most of all the cushioning was atrocious. But just this month, I noticed that the traction has been phenomenal even though the outsole has basically frayed off, it's also very loud/squeaky indoors

If your forefoot Is wide then you should not go for it, or you should go for half an extra size. And the pasting is not good.

These are very good looking shoes you will definitely love it.

 Midsole seems to be phylon and actually quite plush, but not responsive. Materials are very comfortable but like previous reviewers the mesh layer is quite cheap and thin, but the synthetic leather on the upper is a nice touch.

No squeak but seems to hold decently well. Cushion: very plush in the heel, you can feel the zoom units in the front, but you just kind of feel them there I dont feel like a repsonsive bounce from them. Midsole seems to be phylon and actually quite plush, but not responsive. Materials are very comfortable but like previous reviewers the mesh layer is quite cheap and thin, but the synthetic leather on the upper is a nice touch

 (See Video) For the most part on offence you don't really feel this being an issue, but when youre playing defence it becomes more apparent. Furthermore, the mesh upper is way to soft and has no fuse backing or external caging to provide lateral support and containment.

The biggest issue is the support (See video above) Because Nike carved out the midsole to decouple the shoe to fit Giannis' Gait (Heel toe, Heel toe kinda of stomp on his large steps) the midsole actually collapses when there is enough pressure apply to it (SEE VIDEO) This isn't an issue when you are moving front to back, but when you start moving laterally, or when you apply a large amount of force on the lateral side as in the case of a ankle roll or a similar mechanism, the midsole collapses, and has no rigidity making it likely for you to roll your ankle. (See Video) For the most part on offence you don't really feel this being an issue, but when youre playing defence it becomes more apparent. Furthermore, the mesh upper is way to soft and has no fuse backing or external caging to provide lateral support and containment

If you are looking for a durable outside shoe, stay away from PG 5, especially the one with no XDR rubber. It's also a narrow shoe (not as the PG4, but still narrow). Freak 2 not a very widefoot friendly shoe. I would go with Immortality
