The Orbi is very expensive and I do not understand why I need to pay for wifi when I pay monthly for wifi in my home. Except that it did not work in my whole house only in one room. the Orbi is working now but I had to turn off the house wifi in order for it to work.

I bought thisabout 4 months ago to bypass the Verizon router.  Very easy to set up but except for running speed tests, I can't tell a difference.  The satellite doesn't seem to help any.  My phone seems to take longer to load apps than before and we have had some buffering on streaming tv for the first time in years though not a lot

 Make it work first, THEN get the users to register. Capiche?  2) The firmware update appears to be broken. The automatic checks come back with "service unreachable" -- really, Netgear, it's your OWN auto-update service! -- and the manual updates REFUSE to recognize their own firmware ZIP files as valid. And yes, I tried to apply the satellite firmware update first, and yes it was the latest, and yes the file was good, and yes I followed the steps in your release notes, and yes I tried multiple times

I recently tried the TP-Link Deco X60 (two wired units) and it's been perfectly stable with no issues, and range is better than Nest but not as good as eero 6 Pro. For the money though, IMO TP-Link offers the best overall value. My brother and best friend both have TP-Link mesh systems with no issues for the past couple of years, so TP-Link would get my vote.

As the title implies, I am looking for router recommendations, particularly brands that you've tried before and had good experience with.

I've tried asus and linksys routers and I don't like them. The former has poor heat dissipation and the latter just has buggy software.

Are netgear and tp-link good brands? If not, what others can you guys recommend?

Best router brands based on your experience.

 Now they cover up to 650m2 home, they also are compatible with the Amazon Alexa device, so they will work with that and extremely easy to set up as I said before. Backed up by a 3 year warranty, let me just give you a very quick look at the box, you're not going to see much of it because it's a big box, but let me give you a quick look at the box. As you can see on the box here, it says WiFi 6 works with all broadband providers. Also I mentioned about the coverage, let me just show you this is such a big box to fit into frame, here it mentions we've got home care compatible with Amazon Alexa, the coverage up to 7000 square feet, 650m2 and then if we look on the back here, it just gives you an example of where you would place these within your home

 Now this works with pretty much all broadband providers, if for example and this is just an example you've got Virgin Media, you would put your modem router into modem only mode and then you would let these take over serving up the WiFi signal. There's little rubberised feet on the bottom, cylindrical design, this little area here obviously aids with some ventilation, we've also got some LED feedback on these as well and then on the back you've got an input for the power supply which is included inside the box and also two ethernet ports. We've got these as well, let me just show you these, so these are all identical as you can see, one of these would serve as your main router and the others would serve as two additional satellites. These really do help get rid of those WiFi dead zones, so for example in my tests where I would normally get some lower signal, I mean I've got a pretty good mesh WiFi system anyway, but there is one area where I would definitely get a lower WiFi signal and these really help to extend those, they've got a really good range, an exceptional range
