Video cards, especially, have on average grown significantly larger over the past couple of years - a fact that has hurt the M1’s compatibility, which had previously been very good for its size. The M1 was already highly space-optimized, so accommodating such larger cards was not possible within the current design footprint. Hence the need for a more thorough redesign from the ground up, which also allows us the opportunity to explore alternate manufacturing methods, updates to the visual design, and additional features.

 But as the creators have kind of noted, it has been quite a less compelling option as these cards just get bigger and bigger, more power hungry and just demand just insane cooling. 1 and yeah, overall pretty happy with how clean it turned out. It's an all air cooled build with the Noctua Nhu9s calling a Ryzen 5800 X and two Nocto Nfa12s pumping air into an Rtx 3080 Founders Edition. There's also an extra exhaust fan to help pull away the heat from both the Cpu cooler and the flow through fan on that 3080.

 And as for how it's different or better, I'm told that we can expect a better compatibility, better build quality, and better pricing. So better compatibility. I think we can decipher that one pretty easily, and we can expect probably larger graphics card support. Really the only way to do that without moving to an 18 liter plus case is to adopt a sandwich layout and mount the card vertically

 My initial plan for this was to stuff a 32 core thread ripper in here But then it's like well, I want to do a custom loop and well There's some other options and this does support XL ATX So those extra long motherboards would work in here, especially with the radiator mounted in the front You're just not gonna have super deep cars, but where we're using this for a rosy upgrade Maybe it may be a future build. You've also got this option for the rear plate Which will let you just mount your SFX power supply directly right there. And this is what we're going to use There are also other options So if you want a vibration dampened three and a half inch drive mount That you actually set up in the bottom of the case or in the top of the case. You've also got options for that Now even though this computer is slightly bigger than a lunchbox a little bigger than our old build We will be mounting this in the top Which will give us mount points for our handle So yeah, we can have another handle on this machine in case we need it to be portable strictly speaking Don't need a handle on rosy, but you never know with the top handle set up
