WE DID NOT EXPECT THIS! MIZUNO JPX921 IRONS TESTED

 That had a little bit more of a crack to the noise when I hit the iron but felt just as good as the Tour. That feels really nice. Yeah very good. Feel wise, very similar to the Tour

 Last one to test is this, the Hot Metal. I think these two, Hot Metal Pro and Hot Metal, are going to be super popular. This is the biggest head, the chunkiest sole. Again for a 79 this is 29 degrees of loft

 Okay first hole I'm going to play is this Par 3 11th hole Marriott Worsley Park. It's 165 yards. Now these lofts are very true lofted and what I mean by that the seven iron is 34 degrees so I'm not expecting these clubs to go a million miles not in this lineup anyway to get a little bit stronger in those other irons I mentioned before. So I'm just going to hit a little seven here

 A lot of people on the internet get very excited about new Mizuno irons. Well today I've got four brand new sets to test and we've taken out on the golf course a new 921 range of Mizuno irons. So there are four new sets of irons from Mizuno. These are the JPX 921 lineup

 Let's give the Hot Metal a hit. I've never hit this iron yet so you're going to get my initial thoughts. That was such a good flight. There's an instant difference in feel compared to these two sets, the Tour and the Forged

 Let's now go outside in the outdoor teaching bay. Let's go see how they look behind a golf ball, and more importantly, how they feel. Cremoli this year, not 1025V with a bit of boron, so it'll be interesting to see how they feel. Let's go outside there, then we'll come back in here, do some proper premium golf ball testing to see how these now fall with a Cremoli forge in rather than 1025V

HL4 Irons are made with the extremely soft 431 stainless steel, providing the optimal feel for players of all levels.

Expanded Undercut Cavity:

The HL4 Irons incorporate an expanded undercut cavity to provide maximum forgiveness, power and consistent performance.


The vast undercut cavity allows weight to be moved away from the face and into the sole for a higher MOI and high CT with faster ball speeds. This undercut cavity also provides a higher launch angle and enhanced forgiveness.

Advanced Toe Weighting:

Advanced toe weighting technology in the HL4 Iron maximizes stability on impact while Variable Face Thickness technology provides better off-center hit distance from the face of the iron.

Shallow Face Height:

The HL4 irons were designed with a shallower face height and a wider sole for a deeper CG and an easier launch. The lower and deeper CG allowed the irons to be power-lofted for added distance and lower spin with the same launch characteristics as a standard lofted iron. This makes for a modern long distance iron design that will provide extra distance and straighter shots with the same apex height expected from each iron.

Shaft Technology:

The HL4 series features an upgraded UST Mamiya graphite shaft that offers enhanced tip stability. It is available in Ladies, A-flex, Regular and Stiff shafts ranging from 45 to 65 grams.

 The other thing Tour Edge does, because they don't have many guys they pay on tour, is they put a lifetime warranty behind their products.
