WE DID NOT EXPECT THIS! MIZUNO JPX921 IRONS TESTED

 That had a little bit more of a crack to the noise when I hit the iron but felt just as good as the Tour. That feels really nice. Yeah very good. Feel wise, very similar to the Tour

 Last one to test is this, the Hot Metal. I think these two, Hot Metal Pro and Hot Metal, are going to be super popular. This is the biggest head, the chunkiest sole. Again for a 79 this is 29 degrees of loft

 Okay first hole I'm going to play is this Par 3 11th hole Marriott Worsley Park. It's 165 yards. Now these lofts are very true lofted and what I mean by that the seven iron is 34 degrees so I'm not expecting these clubs to go a million miles not in this lineup anyway to get a little bit stronger in those other irons I mentioned before. So I'm just going to hit a little seven here

 A lot of people on the internet get very excited about new Mizuno irons. Well today I've got four brand new sets to test and we've taken out on the golf course a new 921 range of Mizuno irons. So there are four new sets of irons from Mizuno. These are the JPX 921 lineup

 Let's give the Hot Metal a hit. I've never hit this iron yet so you're going to get my initial thoughts. That was such a good flight. There's an instant difference in feel compared to these two sets, the Tour and the Forged

 Let's now go outside in the outdoor teaching bay. Let's go see how they look behind a golf ball, and more importantly, how they feel. Cremoli this year, not 1025V with a bit of boron, so it'll be interesting to see how they feel. Let's go outside there, then we'll come back in here, do some proper premium golf ball testing to see how these now fall with a Cremoli forge in rather than 1025V

 So it's very much so built around the player and what they require from the club. Yeah. So descent angle was 48.7

We're going to look at all that more as we play nine holes at Carrollwood Country Club I'm going to talk you through everything I see out here. Let's do it Hey, if this is your first time checking out the show first of all, thank you What we do here is I'm more of an average type of golfer and we battle clubs here on course So if you like that if you like to see what an average golfer swings looks like I'm not going to hit it 300 yards here today Please do hit subscribe because it helps the show immensely first hole here is pretty straight away

 All right, i'm feeling froggy here We've got about 350 i'm going to see if i can go six iron six iron Because I really haven't got to hit this club much here today And I think that would be perfect in terms of distance Now the six iron is a little thicker than you'd expect on the hmb set. They're a little thinner for sure They don't really you never see the back of it really till about the four maybe the five iron here I'm seeing the back quite a bit here Um, so it looks a little bigger than i'm used to But the way i'm hitting these I think I can get past the aesthetics Here we go Oh, yes, that is high in the air Let's see how far that is but It looked good in the air Again, very easy to get these clubs up all of them We hit that club 174 to get here again into the wind though And what's crazy about this is i'm coming back the opposite way of when I started and somehow the wind has shifted in the time From when I teed off. That's not fair. I'm gonna have to hit this one I've got a line that's a little you know, it's in the fairway, but it's kind of in a little Crevasse if you will, so I gotta trust the club stay down on it And everything's pushing at me and to the right so i'm gonna aim left Oh, it's a bullet is that gonna get there Oh right at the top of the hill right at the top of the hill It was a good shot though It was a really good shot Normally i'd hit one more club I'd be hitting four iron probably maybe five iron Iron from my hmb said I hit six there probably should have hit five Anyways, we're not going to complain

 We've got water up on the right It's about 350 yards takes a decent drive and we should have a lower lofted iron in our hands. Let's do it All right, that one's down the left side And But we should be fine over there we're not testing drivers today anyways, we're testing iron so that's really all that matters Let's go see it. All right. So first hole here

 We're going to test them out on course I'm going to play nine holes and we're going to look at some very specific characteristics of these clubs First of all, the lofts are different than a player's iron. My HMBs for instance are two or three degrees Weaker than these clubs. These clubs are much stronger So will that extra distance come at the expense of holding greens? These clubs are cast iron. They're not forged So do they still feel like a Mizuno? We're going to test that out on course How good do these clubs look in hand if you're used to a player's iron a blade or something? We're going back on course for this Mizuno JPX 921 Hot Metal review. I'll take you thru 9 holes of on course action where we'll test the Hot Metals for distance, accuracy, feel, forgiveness and much more.

 That ball might hit and release one step, but that's going to be plenty of spin and a steep enough descent to hold the green with really good distance. I was getting carry distances on the seven iron of 166, and for 82 to 83 miles an hour, that is really good.
