 I guess on higher priced models you can get this but again this is where it is confusing to pick out the model you need. Overall I think it was a bit expensive for a vacuum and for not having the powered handle/floor piece (sorry I can't remember what it is called). At this price you would think it is a high end vacuum but for the Miele line I guess it is only mid-range.

 What I love about this Miele: super light weight and easy to do the stairs. It's super quiet. Cleans the hardwood floors like a dream, is easy to maneuver. Bye-bye dust mop! My old upright would blow the air out and blow the dust around on the floor, this one doesn't do that at all
