Maison Martin Margiela By The Fireplace vs Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

I have a couple other scents from Maison Margiela, but for this one I couldn't get past the sample bottle. It just smells straight up like cigarettes. I could get the same effect from a $10 pack of Marlboros.

Product was decent but I would probably never buy a bottle because of the price. Good scent for those heavy leather jacket, cold days. Got a lot of compliments but not my favorite cologne. I received my sample promptly though

I heard a news anchor I admire gush about this REPLICA scent and I had a hard time imagining a perfume with a fireplace smell to it and then I got it and I’m SO GLAD!!! Think smoky with chestnuts. Cheerful blaze against winter glaze…Never worn a unisex scent either, I tend toward girly florals, but this works either way-equally alluring and homey, with a slight ember spark to it. The product itself was great and arrived earlier than expected, so I think thats where IT went. Tabacco Vanille is something I am still getting used to, but from the early tests it smells and projects as advertised.

It is also truly an 'all day fragrance'. So don't worry about that. (No one pays a premium for a scent that fails to do its only job after 10 minutes!)
