Noise Level

The drum makes a loud scratching noise every rotation-too loud

Now including even with nothing in the drum. The level of noise it makes is well beyond unacceptable. This isn't a balance issue or overload issue. It's a manufacturer defect that's repeated itself for how many years now? Read the reviews

Wish I could give this 0 stars

I just moved into an apartment complex with these installed. Dries fine. Runs fine. I wouldn't know about efficiency, but what gives it zero stars is a STUPID 30-second chime at finishing that you can't turn OFF! Running this near bedtime is out of the question, and I am seriously debating whether I want to risk breaking something unintentionally by going on a hand-tool hunt for this thing's speaker--to break that INTENTIONALLY

Capacity

All in all, totally worth ~$200

The best thing I like is that it's MINE and I know what's been dried in it; nobody else's dog hair, crayons, bandaids, etc. This will not be ideal for a family larger than two people. It's sufficient for my daughter and I, but if I were to add one more adult to the laundry mix, this would be too small. All in all, totally worth ~$200

Powerful not-so-little dryer for the money!

Matching dryer with our new washer, and like the washer, this seems to be a reliable and great-quality powerhouse with good capacity. Replaced an LG side-loader that even had a little warranty time left on it and outclassed it in one-load drying ability on exactly the same duct in the same (clean) condition. Abt was great throughout the process; got our business when they had the model we wanted when everybody else was telling us it'd be a month-or- longer wait for restock.
