 The straps have offered enough of a range that has allowed me to adjust for various equipment loads, and it's sturdy enough.  However, the zippers on the main compartment as noted above are still an ongoing issue. Other characteristics that I dislike are the facts that the external storage pocket is too limited for practical storage. In addition, there are some bags that come with rain cover but this one doesn't

 Bought theLowepro DMC-Z accessory wallet as it had the ability to readily attach to the backpack's shoulder straps via their SlipLock system, and it worked.  There's a hand grab handle on the top, quite useful if one is unloading it from a car, or traveling by air or train. The waist belt is highly adjustable, and all of the nylon plastic fastening hardware is of reasonably good quality, and in use weight seems to be distributed quite well. It's a comfortable and stable pack while in use

 Because the bag rests against your leg in this position, the Flipside can provide enough reasonable support and steadiness to work in moderate comfort for short durations. As long as you limit your working time in this belt-pack position, Flipside is relatively pretty good for shooting and accessing your gear..

Lowepro Flipside 300: very good value

 The main bag compartment to your camera equipment CANNOT open all the way with a full load of your equipment. This is because the waist area is attached to the main zipper area which is pulled upwards due to being strapped around the waist while the weight of the rest of the bag pulls down. Even with using one knee as a rest support it personally feels a bit awkward. You will have to open the compartment half way or three quarters

  Waist straps and Chest straps- Pro When pulled towards the body the straps feel secure to you. I wouldn't see any problem jogging with this is for fitness events where I would need to get ahead of the participants to get the shot. The quality of the straps is good though, nice and thick, a bit of padding which should help prevent chaffing.  Con - For broad and big people these straps may feel awkward

  Outside compartment- Pro It can hold items according to how you fit them. The main outside compartment can fit a tshirt rolled up and stuffed to the bottom area. Great to have a spare tshirt when shooting in unpredictable weather. Maybe even fit a couple packaged snacks

 The quality of the straps is good though, nice and thick, a bit of padding which should help prevent chaffing.  Con - For broad and big people these straps may feel awkward. I am 5 feet 10 inches tall, my chest is a size 44 inches and my waist is 36. It does feel a bit tight around the chest for me, I am sure i will get used to it or can adjust it

 Don't see any cons there.  Water bottle compartments- Pro Stretchy fabric, fairly wide. It should hold most standard sized water bottles. Fairly deep, not much worry about the water bottles falling out

 A webbing ladder would be useful since the exterior has been stripped of not only conventional openings, but also attachment points. This is true also on the shoulder straps. I so badly wanted to clip my GPS and/or cell phone to a webbing point on the shoulder strap, but everything has been sewn down tight except for two loose flapping loops that are more suited for a hydration tube than a digital device.  I think the back panel could have been better served with a thicker or firmer padding

 I think a pair of #10 YKKs are in order instead of wimpy small teeth zips with big pulls.  My second gripe is with the reach of the zippers. I carry an 80-200 2.8 across the bottom of the pack (it allows me several lens/body choices so I can carry any lens on my D300 with MB-D10 grip (upsidedown from the usual pictures, by the way)

UPDATE (June 9, 2016):  So I have had this bag a couple months now. And I can safely say, it was a waste of money. The major downside being that it is RIDICULOUSLY HEAVY! I am a female, but I am also an athlete who frequents the gym, so I am not by any means frail, weak, or a stranger to weight (I have a pretty muscular upper body). In my earlier review I noted that this bag has little space for anything outside of your camera gear - thank God, because your camera gear by itself is enough to have you struggling with this bag

 I gave it three stars because while it's pretty sturdy and all that, it's pretty large and not something you want to log around on a consistent basis. I will probably get something lighter. If you have a lot of lens that you actually move with, yes, but otherwise, you don't need this bag. Most photographers have an everyday lens and maybe one or two they have in case they need it, but generally know which they will be shooting with before leaving the house

 It can also fit a camera with a 70-200 with lens hood on so you can pull it out and put it back in easily if shooting on the go.  I think the measurement may not be as much to blame as is the rigidity of the material it is made compared to that of the Slingshot material. The material is very durable and high quality, but doesn't give much which leads me to believe that it may just need some time to break in.  Lastly, my final concern is regarding the tripod holder. The tripod holder is too small to hold a professional tripod comfortably

Great addition to my camera gear...with a few minor concerns

 You can actually fit a 13.3" MacBook in a neoprene sleeve inside the flap over all the equipment. This was a big worry of mine since I carry a laptop wherever I go pretty much and it didn't have a dedicated slot for that which would have been it's only negative.  The equipment was easy to access but as someone else stated, the bottom compartments take a bit to get at so smaller items are best for those areas which is exactly what I did

  The bag carries a lot but still feels compact on your back and is not bulky like the AW Rover that bangs every seat down an airplane aisle even when you've cinched up the waist belt and maneuver around to avoid banging into seats. This one is compact enough that it stays in the aisle even when wearing it on one shoulder.  The waist belt and harness are very comfortable for not having cinch straps at the top and it pulls the bag to your back nice and tight when you have the chest strap on. Btw, they use a rail that the chest strap slides up and down for adjustment instead of gliding on the shoulder strap

  Cons - Lowepro advertises the ability to take the pack off your shoulders, without releasing the waist belt, and pivot the pack around in front of the user. This worked as advertised, was able to swap out my lenses, had easy access to all the gear in this compartment. The issue came when I went to zip the compartment back up, it didn't want to work. I had to lift the pack almost full vertical before the zippers would work

 But, first let's look at the positive.  Pros - Solid construction. This unit is comfortable to wear, even with the tripod attached. There is ample storage on the inside for lenses, bodies, and accessories

 The pockets are well thought out and user friendly. The laptop sleeve is perfect for a 4th generation iPad in it's case. The zippered top access is my favorite thing about the bag, it’s great!

 In here i got extra batteries. We close it up now, while you're wearing it you've got quick access right at the top here, quick access to the camera itself. This is the inside of what you just saw, but this is now access accessible from the top. So if i'm done recording with my camera done making photos, i can throw it in right at the top and call it a day or let's say i know, i'm gon na have the the the camera on my hip on my spider holster all the time

 I don't know what business cards stuff like that, maybe a a filter or something like that - that you might need on a regular basis, moving to the top and down you've got the straps here and the pouch and strap down here for a tripod to be strapped To the back of your bag, which is way more comfortable than strapping it to the side, although you could also strap a small tripod to the side if you want, but i love that it hides up for when you don't need it. Moving to the back, we've got a nice padded back and really comfortable straps with nice little like neoprene type material. I don't know what exactly it is. It'S very soft i haven't felt a think tank bag with this material in the past

 The cinch right here for the for the shoulder straps actually can be. You can slide it off if you don't want them. I actually like using these, especially because i do not normally, unless i am hiking or backpacking, i normally don't use the waist waist strap which can be easily removed by just pinching. This down remove unbuckling it, and then you just slide it right out once i'm done with this video

 Very comfortable supportive back padding here there is also a loop. So if you have a rolling suitcase, you can literally slide it right on top of your rolling suitcase and you don't have to carry the bag when you're going through an airport or whatever. That is a really nice feature, as well, like most think tank bags. You also have these loops right here for accessories you can put carabiners you can put whatever you need on a regular basis attached to that on the sides on both sides, they're actually identical

 When i went my most recent trip, i went to florida. I used it on set for a couple of days where we had all of our gear already set up and stationed in one area this was my to and from the set bag. So i put everything in here from lunch. You know to my gear laptops hard drives all that stuff that i needed to take back every night, download upload for the client to see online, and then i took this back to the set the next day with my most important gear in it and with my Batteries charged in it memory cards, erased and all that good stuff

 I was like i can't believe people are not doing this. Okay, so really quick inside of my lighting compartment here, you'll see what i typically do with other bags. So i actually put these together to create more padding, okay, so i'll put two or three of these together to create more padding in the bottom of the bag for a lens right problem. Is this takes away your dividers and you're not able to actually throw a lot of a lot more stuff in here, and it it kind of becomes annoying when you're trying to pull it out and then, when you're, trying to put it back in, you got to Fight with the bag and you're, just like, oh my god! Well, it's something! I'Ve learned to live with over the years until now, until now, like i'm gon na contact team tank and see, if they'll just send me these okay, so inside of the bag itself

 Some extra batteries, some extra cards, all the stuff that we're going to take out on the street and on the chute when we're shooting and scooting down the road. Now this is not a roller bag. This is not something that you're going to take through the airport and just have it rolling behind you with all your luggage. This is not a bag that you're going to take out

 I had to have one because it looks better two, because it feels good on my back when you're walking around with a ton of gear on your back all day long. You want something: that's not only comfortable on the shoulders like the theme tank is, but you want to be able to feel that as you're moving around on your back without it throwing you off balance and all that, so when you're carrying a lot of gear, you Want it to be for me, i want it to be a little bit wider of a bag, so the bag that i'm actually going to keep and the back my daily every everyday carry bag is only about two inches wider, and if this bag had been two Inches wider, i would have kept it. That is the one thing that i don't like about the bag and unfortunately it's the one box that i cannot tick. That says that i want the bag, i'm going to keep the bag forever
