 First impression, it's not doing anything all that special. I don't think it's necessarily even getting every lash, but it really does come down to how a couple coats look on the lashes and how it builds up. But no clumping, right away. And I'm not immediately getting mascara on my eyelid from this applicator

 But oh well, at least now I know and it was on my list for a long time and I don't really feel like I was missing out so much on it. But I would love to hear in the comments down below if you have recommendations for great waterproof mascaras. This is probably the best waterproof mascara that I've tried, but I've tried out very few waterproof mascaras. The ones that I've tried in the past didn't do anything for the lashes, they didn't give any volume, length, even barely made them look darker

 So I guess I don't need the super fanned out falsely looking lashes, but I'm picky with my mascara and that's what I prefer. It's also, it's kind of like a sticky formula. Like as I'm trying to brush it through the lashes, like I can just feel how it's kind of stuck and therefore makes sense why the lashes are sticking together because it's just a very sticking formula. This does often happen to me, but on my left eye here I'm getting a lot of mascara on the eyelid and I mean I tend to do that on a daily basis

 So I got some really great NYX like free gift with purchase items that I'm really excited to try out as well. But this is supposed to give a lot of length and volume. It's not supposed to flake and when Allie Glines wears this mascara, it looks incredible on her lashes, although she does have incredible lashes to begin with. And I really like the packaging on this

 Hi everyone, my name is Christy and welcome to my trying a new makeup product everyday series. Today

 I am so excited to finally be trying out the L'Oreal

 This mascara has been on my list of products that I want to try out for so long.

 I remember seeing Ali Glines, who's one of my favorite makeup youtubers to watch. This is her

 recommended mascara. So I actually have a vacation coming up.

 So I placed an order at Ulta so I could purchase the Loving Tan

 Sunless Tanning Mousse because another youtuber that I was watching, actually a lot of youtubers, really recommend that and I was like,

 you know, I want to be tan for this vacation. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and spend forty dollars on that Sunless Tanner.

 I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm really excited to. But then I also picked up a

 waterproof mascara and this one has high ratings and like I said, I had been wanting to try out the Lash Paradise.

 So I figured this would be a great mascara to get. So like I said, I did get it in the waterproof version.

 I got it, like I said again, at Ulta and it cost

 $10.99. Like that is not cheap for a drugstore

 mascara. You probably can get this for cheaper at other drugstores, maybe Target, Walmart.

 I didn't check. I had an Ulta gift card and I was also making a purchase during an Ulta beauty break.

 It's kind of weird for me to notice how light a mascara feels, but it feels like there wouldn't even be any product in here.

 But a light formula is not actually a bad thing for the lashes.

 Oh, wow, this is a pretty big applicator, but I like the looks of it.

 Definitely a lot of bristles. It says it's supposed to coat and

 separate, keep all the lashes fluttery, which I love. Here you can see what that wand looks like.

 And so I'm gonna go ahead and start applying it to one of my eyes.

 Also, I got this in the shade black. They had two different shades of black. So I got the,

 So yeah, it's a fine first coat. While I wait for that to dry, I'm gonna go ahead and apply it to these lower lashes.

 Ooh, a little bit tricky for me to get the lower lashes. I already poked myself in the eye because the wand is kind of big.

 And I may need to layer up two coats on these bottom lashes as well.

 That's what I was expecting because it's a bit of a larger wand.

 It's a bit of a larger wand, but now let's see if I can layer up these top lashes.

 I'm noticing some good volume being built up,

 But what's happening is something that I really don't like is the lashes are sticking together,

 so they're not staying fanned out and separated, and then it makes it look like I barely have any lashes.

 I'm trying to comb through it to separate them, but it seems like

 the more I try and go over to even comb through and separate the lashes,

 they're just sticking together even more. So it's actually pretty nice and lengthening,

 but not fanned out and volumizing the way I like.

 So I think I need to stop myself from trying to layer up anymore since the lashes are just

 looking fewer and fewer, and that's not what I want.

 But this is something that happens so often with mascaras. I feel like nowadays some formulas

 are getting better at keeping the lashes separated, but it kind of gives that spidery effect,

 just not as pretty and full. So here you can see, I'll give you a zoomed in view so you can see
