It's also nice that the WASD keys can be adjusted separately. 4) I have 3 different macro profiles and I can record each macro via a macro record button without having to use the software (even though it's great). This would be handy if you are using some unexpected keystrokes a lot and want to program them into a macro real quick, rather than open the software (also great for a quick excel macro rather than programming it into VBA or recording it via excel). Odds are using the software won't go completely smooth for you but for the most part its solid. And on the Pros side the rgb configuration is very very solid and most importantly creating function layers and defining keys for this board through the software for me is why I give it the rating I do. By far the best parts about this board are its looks and its ease of use of the software for defining those function rows. Also, just how I feel, I got the red Gateron switches and for a prebuilt board and coming from Cherry reds I would say I even like these more

The net effect on my chassis USB ports is neutral. But the more I think about this, and as I am writing this review, I believe I will be sending this KB back to Amazon. I'll go back to the old DECK board until I can find a Cherry Brown KB with media keys, proper placement of the symbols, more even illumination and a better, more legible key font. MAJOR oversight I think, as a few simple light pipes in the design would have fixed it too for about 5 cents extra a keyboard, and from my experience with the board thus far and other reviews, that is one of the major CONS of this board. With that said, I don't really have much trouble with the screen light washing over the board and the faint silhouette of the symbols from the keyboard lights (plus I have been typing for a very long time, so really it's kind of something I just know what numbers correspond to what symbols on a standard US keyboard). Let me be clear here on this most important part, this thing is silky smooth in regards to key action, I love the feel of this keyboard. The back lighting on this keyboard while being only cold white is very bright, I actually keep it running a setting or two below brightest and it is still plenty bright. Nice to know the extra brightness is there should I need it. I also like that I can control the WASD and arrow keys brightness separably, I did not think much of this feature on paper but in practice I find it moderately useful in FPS games
