Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset vs Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum

The Logitech G Pro X gaming headset is an excellent choice if you want high-end features and build quality at a relatively low price. The $130 package includes a sturdy, comfortable, headset with two sets of earpads, plus a DTS Headphone:X 2.0 USB sound card that enables a remarkable variety of EQ and audio processing adjustments for both the headphones and microphone.

Rockets, bullets, shells, and general carnage all sound distinct through the G933 on top of the electric guitar track. The 7.1-channel surround doesn't help much to locate screaming kamikaze enemies running toward you any better than just looking around with your mouse, but it gives an appreciable sense of enemies getting closer as they approach.

Writing from the context of being a computer programmer and engineer who has owned this product since March: The headset itself works fine. It fits comfortable on my head and the padded ear cushions work well enough. Furthermore, the sound quality is good enough, in terms of both input and output. The retractable mic works well, and the battery life is great

They pop right off, just pull it down, and the replacement ear pad has a big lip around it, so just put that in there and roll it around, and good to ...

My G933's headband pad, out of the box, comes loose on the right side of the headband. The pad has tabs on both ends that slip under a cover to keep the pad in place, but the pad seems to be a few millimetres too short for the tab to stay in and the adhesive is too weak to keep the pad in place. I have looked online and found a number of redditors with the same problem. Overall, the G933 is even more comfortable than my previous G930 and I expect the lack of fake leather material on the earcups will mean they will not suffer from the same cracking and peeling with age

I agree, its like the developers at Logitech don't actually use the software. I have to uninstall their G933 driver and revert back to Microsoft's just so G Hub doesn't destroy things and volume level goes back to normal.

I'm glad they included this because with the two pairs of Arctis 7s that I had, I purchased separate cushions for them ($25+/pair). I never used the Arctis 7 wired, so I didn't care that the Logi's can only run wireless. The battery life is also superior to the Arctis 7, by far; GHub also works a hell of a lot better than SS Engine, surprisingly. Again, I moved away from Logi minus their office line, and was hoping to be let down by these

Logitech Gaming Software will tell me I still have, let's say, 60%/5 hours of battery remaining. Which I'll be amazed because I thought it should be almost dead. So I'll leave the app open on one of my monitors and watch it. It'll slowly decline, but then all of a sudden it turns off because the battery is dead

I can have a wired headset with better sound under the price for these. 0 noise canceling. No bluetooth. No way for multipoint

The noise cancellation is kind of nice. It's not the best in the world, but it's enough to filter out some of the noise outside of my window. Volume control is ambiguous and arbitrary. The knob is infinite-scroll, much like their mice

I spoil myself with a 'headphone not headset' setup on my PC jumping between my Bose and Sennheiser cans on a Creative GC7. That setup is of course better but for the price difference between what I normally use and what the Pro X comes with I wouldn't detour anyone on a budget from snatching them up. I think price to performance in my case should be considered and if we look at THAT ratio, I feel like I got kinda jipped in the past lol. I'd say if my main setup were an 'A' then the Pro X kit here would land around a 'B' but coming in at about a quarter of the price

Hopefully that's reasonable in my price range. From my own searching, **SteelSeries Arctis 7** sounds a lot like what I’m looking for, but I’d like some feedback before I make my purchase. Anyway, I hope I've given a good general idea of what I'm looking for. Thanks!

(This is the main reason I didn't stick with the HyperX headphones, because they didn't have the ability to turn this off.) Connection quality: excellent. This is one of the main reasons why I prefer a gaming headset for work instead of regular Bluetooth headphones. Bluetooth is sensitive to interference and can often cause slight hiccups in connection when listening to music

As far as connectivity goes, the range on this headset is actually quite impressive. I can head out of my room, down the hall, and into the bathroom without breaking conversation with my friends in discord. Heck, most of the time they don’t even notice I’ve moved! Music and video sound great in this headset. I usually use this pair when listening to music because the simplicity and convenience completely outweigh and flaws to the quality
