Don’t get the orca (not ideal for the riding you describe) and the lib tech C3 or C2x may be a better transition from your full rocker board but really doesn’t preform as well on hardpack and groomers which imo should be the focus of the newer board from your riding style. So I’d just look for rocker/camber/rocker boards like the YES hybrid (you could go full camber too). Make sure it’s on the stiffer side (no universal ratings so you usually need to look at reviews and compare that way) and I’d make sure it’s 265+ on width. I’d say ideally like 270 so you can really lay down carves when you can

Hi. I’m a 40yr old, 5’10” 180lb size 11 male living in the PNW. Last season was my first. Got out 20 or so days. Locked up a season pass at Meadows for next year. Family fell in love with the sport. 

I rode last season on an Arbor Element rocker 162mw. Worked well. I don’t know what I don’t know so want to add a second board of a camber/hybrid type and keep progressing. 

Riding wise....I’m an advanced beginner? Early intermediate? I spend most of my time on blue runs just turning. Can tackle single blacks without feeling like I’m going to die or backside plow all the way down. Didn’t hit them much mostly because I’m with my 10yr old daughter who also started last year. I get edge to edge and speed wise could keep up with some advanced friends (who weren’t completely sending it I’m sure but they commented they were surprised I was right with them) at the end of the year.

I will never spend a second in the park. If I do I made a wrong turn. I’m not going to be buttering. If I get air it wasn’t on purpose. I’m fine off groomers but I won’t be backcountry for awhile if ever. 

I feel like I have analysis paralysis on boards and there are 50 solid options. Help me out.

Yet another intermediate board recommendation post

 It seems consistent. The overall flex of this board is just absolutely consistent It's very stable. It's one of these boards that in run it on terrain. You just sort of skip over everything You don't really feel any micro vibrations

 The corduroy was fresh and zippy and I rode it with my Rome black label bindings in my k2 thraxis boots this board has a Slightly above middle of the road slightly directional flex. So you do have a slightly Softer nose and then it progressively just stiffens up to the tail With an okay amount of torsional give it's not like overly abundant and it's not underperforming. It's there You know, it's there. You know how it's gonna work

 It also makes it easier to engage This board is available in seven sizes 150 153 156 156 wide 159 159 wide and 162 I rode this board at Loveland ski area in the preseason early morning So it was a little bit cooler. The snow was a little bit firmer. The 2021 Libtech Dynamo Snowboard Review

 And just so you guys know, I'm not endorsed or sponsored by any of the brands that are listed here today, just giving you my direct scoop from what I got from this board off the mountain. Obviously you're stacked with your traditional Mervin magnet traction, also has the C3 profile that's going to be giving you just a bit more camber overall than your traditional banana or even the C2 profiles. So overall giving you a bit more response, being a little bit more on the aggressive side. It's so sick

 It's definitely set back an inch, but it didn't really hold back. I feel like it would be a solid option for continuing to catch air whether you're going off cliffs or jumps. The only thing that I would be a little bit hesitant about is this might not be the best option if you're looking for hitting rails and or boxes. My favorite thing about this board, it created a nice locked in feeling between the feet because of the camber profile

 I feel that the profile and the way that they have it set up all the way around, it's certainly designed to be an aggressive ripper and it can handle that uneven terrain and chunder with not really any issues. So C3 is a camber profile where there's camber at the tip and tail and predominantly camber between feet with a touch of rocker for float. But it definitely gives a plastic stiff feeling when riding this snowboard that allows you to really apply pressure for weight and dive into those terms. I was intrigued by riding a 159 regular

 The only thing that I would be a little bit hesitant about is this might not be the best option if you're looking for hitting rails and or boxes. My favorite thing about this board, it created a nice locked in feeling between the feet because of the camber profile. Between that and the blend of magnetraction, it really allowed me to press very hard into the edge and have a great locked in feeling for carving at high speeds. I feel like it's a better feel for expert riders who are looking to charge at high speeds to ride in the backcountry

 So the board wasn't the best for buttering that C3 Camber Profile. You really got to get over the out back over the tail of the board or the nose of the board. It rode switch okay, directional board. So not the most ideal board for riding a lot of switch, but more you're kind of all-mountain carver
