A Hidden Gem...

This is a good durable coffee maker. I am writing the review almost three years after purchase and we have had no issues. I bought this for my husband and I'm secretly sad that it won't break, because I'm not a fan of the temperature at which it makes and maintains the coffee. My husband drinks his coffee black, and to him the heat seems just like any other coffee maker, too hot to drink when you first pour it

 However I like a lot of refrigerated cream with my coffee, and so I can tell that this coffee maker is not as hot as any we have owned in the past. With past coffee makers, I could add something refrigerated and the coffee would still be hot. After adding creamer to the coffee from this Salton coffee maker, it's lukewarm. Often it goes cold before I finished drinking it

 So if you like your coffee black add more stars, and the lighter you like your coffee the less you will like this Salton coffee maker.

  If you're looking for a large capacity coffee make that just works on a budget, I would recommend specifically for this use. If you're looking for a high-quality, long lasting coffee maker, you probably would not be reading this review. When considering this review, please understand the context of how I've applied this product.  Pros: It works

 Otherwise, we brew coffee, then shut it down.  Let's be clear, this is a budget coffee maker. I would probably not use this for my home, but it can certainly be used in that application. It's a bare bones coffee make with basic functionality and cheap parts

Great Value...

 Coffee, which had an auto-shutoff and made good coffee. The clock was tricky to set, and the time was off by 17 minutes per day, which made the brew timer feature useless. This was especially annoying because the LEDs in the clock were blindingly bright, and never showed the correct time. But it was 'good enough' until a household accident killed it

Finally, I have found the perfect coffee maker.
