Keychron K10 vs Royal Kludge RK61

I order a k4 aluminum and k10 regular both blue switches. The K4 sounds more soothing and less clicky. There is weight difference and built quality feels better as well with the K4.

So the back plate is made out of plastic with minimal flex, and the keycaps don't experience a lot of wobbling, except for the space bar and the shift...

I personally run a K1 Full Size for my office computer and a K10 for my wfh setup. They're lovely boards for the price and as a lot of people here have mentioned, quite price competitive. Entry Gaming mechanical keyboards from Razer and Corsair tend to fall in the same price category so the $70-130 price tags you're seeing here isn't too unusual.

Personally, looking back I would recommend that people thinking about buying this spend a few more bucks and get one of the bigger names out there. I’m currently using a HyperX Alloy Origins wired keyboard and I love it. This keyboard is fine as a starter or something like that, but if you spend an extra 15-25 dollars you can get a (much) better quality keyboard that will likely last you for many years to come.

All default keycaps from the K series are not the best quality. This includes K8 and K10. ​. In short:

I picked my Royal Kludge RK100 up for $80, it's usually $90 but there was a coupon that popped up on amazon. For $80, I couldn't be *too* upset about the lack of dissasembly options and the raised LEDs, but had I known that was the situation, I likely would have just gotten a Keychron K4 instead for a little bit more.

I would suggest getting a K1/K10 ([or K4, check out that layout! for a first mechanical. I would also highly suggest getting the hot-swappable version of whichever you choose, for the added flexibility of being able to change switches if you need to

4ghz receiver works fine for the price and latency is fine. Bluetooth and wired modes work fine. Really my biggest gripe is that the manual doesn't properly explain how the keyboard is laid out well, which is pretty essential on any board smaller than 65%, which is why I docked a star. Still recommend the board, but I really hope the manual and documentation can get an improvement in the future

It has full RGB backlighting, and since it doesn't come with dedicated first-party software, you can't customize the RGB backlighting or reprogram any of the keys, but Keychron recommends third-party software.

I just bought my first mechanical keyboard Royal Kludge RK61 RGB and it's great especially for it price. However in wireless mode via Bluetooth backlight turns off after 60 seconds. I already searched internet a lot for a solution and it seems like there is no solution for this stupid issue. I just can't understand why they made such a good product with full RGB customization and decided to turn lightnings off after minute and don't give customers chance to disable or change that setting
